A calm guy, a compliment from this person is rare. A guy with a serious personality and hard on himself. Always train his abilities with weapons and never miss. He is the one who has known Ewan the longest and, just like Ewan's sisters, he understands him the best out of the entire crew. In fact, as the series progresses, Zion begins to realize that he's slowing down the team by not being as strong as the others. To relieve himself of these difficulties, Zion trains himself in a forest to better his skills, and to strengthen the team in the episode Blue Saber Saga.

Space Pirate Blue specializes in melee combat, trading his Pirate Blaster for Space Pirate Pink's Pirate Saber to wield alongside his own. When performing Legendary Ranger Modes, he typically transforms into previous Blue Rangers.

- Pirate Final Strike: This finisher has three variations:
- Final Strike: Space Pirate Blue inserts the Space Pirate Blue Key in the Pirate Saber, charging it in blue energy. Once charged, he launches a blue energy blade at the opponent alongside the other Rangers.
- Pirate Blast: Space Pirate Blue inserts the Space Pirate Blue Key in the Pirate Blaster, charging it in blue energy. Once charged, he fires a blue energy shot at the opponent alongside the other Rangers.
- Pirate Saber Blast: Space Pirate Blue inserts two Blue Ranger Keys in the Pirate Blaster & Saber, charging it in blue energy. Once charged, he fires a blue energy shot following a blue energy blade at the opponent, alongside the other Rangers.
- Ultimate Ranger Saber Strike: Space Pirate Blue inserts the Blue Ninja Storm, Lost Galaxy, Mystic Force, Samurai and Megaforce Ranger Keys into his fused Pirate Sabers. Charging the weapon, he launches manifestations of the designated Blue Rangers and they perform a blue energy slash at the opponent. Space Pirate Blue finishes it off with a double slash followed up by a triple slash.
