Yajū Sentai Kemonoger (translated as Beast Squadron Animal Ranger) is the ninth series in Gokai-Volt's Super Sentai's franchise. It's Power Rangers counterpart is entitled Power Rangers Beasts Kingdom.
The series' main motif is animals and has elements similar to Doubutsu Sentai Zyuohger, as well as Choujuu Sentai Liveman.
Plot[]
Centuries ago - a great war raged in the secretive kingdom of Animalia, against a great beast. The war almost costed the kingdom it's existence; however, five creatures - a Lion, Dolphin, Cheetah, Bat and a Penguin; were amongst the few to survive - left behind five mythical books about the kingdom to their descendants.
Decades later, five normal teenagers - who were on a school visit to a ancient monument - discover the five mythical books; which were left behind decades ago.
The five learn of their Animalian descendants and inherit their powers; as well as the mission to defeat the Great Beast and to defend the Earth and the ancient kingdom of Animalia from the beast's rage.
