- "Ninja Storm! Wild Force! Ranger power!"
- ―Rangers announcing their arrival
Wild Storm is the team-up episode between the protagonists of Power Rangers Ninja Storm and Power Rangers Wild Force.
Synopsis[]
When a new monster emerges from a piece of the Orgs' hearts and turns the Wild Force Rangers and their Wildzords evil, it's up to the Wind and Thunder Rangers to bring their predecessors to their senses with Merrick's help against this threat, who has already established an alliance with Lothor and his army.
Plot[]
Cam, in the Nina Ops, is searching for an unknown energy source emerging in Blue Bay Harbor. While scanning via satellite imagery, he discovers the location of this unknown energy source and sees a monster in it, revealing itself to be Zen-Aku. Cam then immediately calls his teammates and arranges for them to meet at Zen-Aku's location, thinking that this energy was coming from him. Shane, Tori, Dustin, Hunter and Blake arrive to meet him and notice something strange: Zen-Aku is tense. He seems to be looking for something but asks the Rangers to leave immediately, using a very aggressive tone. The fight begins and 1 kilometer further, Merrick/Lunar Wolf Ranger hears them and joins them.
The Ninja Rangers were about to use the Thunderstorm Cannon on him, but Merrick intervenes, asking them to stop immediately. He explains that Zen-Aku sensed Org energy hidden in the area in question. Zen-Aku and Merrick then reveal that they were actually there to destroy it before it emerged. What they were talking about was a piece of the Org's heart that had miraculously survived during the final battle between the Wild Force Rangers and Master Org. The heart piece was far too reliable after the attack to be detectable at that precise moment. This piece was later heading towards a very specific place to resurrect: the Abyss of Evil.
The piece of heart wanted to soak up the evil energy emanating from it to take shape again. Following their explanation, Merrick and Zen-Aku ask the Rangers to use their combined weapons against the heart. However, the apprentice ninjas have trouble believing that a former Ranger would team up with a monster and think that it is rather a trap from Lothor. Merrick, no longer having his Morpher, unfortunately has more difficulty convincing them to join his cause. Too late, the heart regenerates and takes the form of a monster, which has been imbued with the energy of Lothor's various monsters locked in the Abyss, giving it a form that differs from the basic Orgs. Overpowering, this monster renames himself Vorgos, the new king of the Orgs. Overpowered, Vorgos outnumbers them, forcing the Wind and Thunder Rangers to retreat.
Aboard his lairship, Lothor wonders who this overpowered monster is that was able to defeat his enemies. As he was about to invite him aboard his ship, Vorgos had already arrived and Lothor decided to create an alliance with him, to which Vorgos agreed. Lacking resources, the latter asked Lothor and his troops (composed of Marah, Kapri, Zurgane, Motodrone and Shimazu) to create ten talisments capable of corrupting their holder. In the meantime, Vorgos created carbon copies of Jindrax and Toxica, evil to the core, to serve them.
At the Ninja Rangers' HQ, Merrick recounts the entire story of the Wild Force Rangers and their fight against the Orgs and tells them that they absolutely must find a way to find their powerless friends who could be found by Vorgos before them if they don't hurry quickly. Back on Lothor's ship, Vorgos' talismans are ready. Vorgos explains to Lothor that the first five talismans are for the Wild Zords. He also explains his plan, which is as follows: thanks to the memories he has of Master Org, he knows that the Zords are closely linked to the Wild Force Rangers thanks to the Morphin Grid, planning to corrupt the Zords and make them fake a call for help (similar to the light orbs in "The End of the Power Rangers") so that their owners call, which will reveal their positions to him. Vorgos then sent Toxica and Jindrax to place the talismans on the Wild Force Rangers to control them. Zurgane then asks him how he plans to find the Animarium, but Vargos explains that when Master Org struck a blow to bring down the Animarium, a very large crater was formed. This crater is giving off a weak energy from this attack. Vorgos can still feel the energy from this crater. He will need Lothor's ship to approach the Animarium in the sky. Back at Ninja Ops, Cam finds a way to locate the Wild Force Rangers and explains that thanks to the Morphin Grid, a person who has been connected to it long enough can still maintain a weak connection to the grid without Morpher.
However, to fully utilize their powers, they will need a Morpher. Cam uses the technology that allowed him to connect the Wind Morphers to the Morphin Grid. A few minutes later, he notices something strange. He locates all five Wild Force Rangers in the same location. Cam sends Shane, Tori, and Dustin to this location while Hunter and Blake are sent into town to stop an army of Kelzaks. Arriving at the scene, the Wind Rangers are as well busy fighting a squad of Kelzaks, whom they easily defeat, then they are surprisingly attacked by the Wild Force Rangers. Shane, Dustin, and Tori are outmatched by their predecessors' strength until Zen-Aku intervenes just in time to pull the Rangers out of the battle. The Ninja Rangers then fake their annihilation by leaving parts of their suits lying on the ground. Thinking them annihilated, the Wild Force Rangers then warn Vorgos that the first three Rangers are destroyed and that they are heading into town to attack Hunter and Blake.
Shane, Dustin, and Tori, all three injured, return to Ninja Ops accompanied by Zen-Aku. They find Cam and the sensei with Princess Shayla, the Rangers' mentor they previously fought. She explains that her awakening is due to Vorgos' intrusion into the Animarium. The main Wildzords tried to protect the princess, but Vorgos stuck the talismans on them as agreed, in addition to also stealing the Wild Force Rangers' Growl Phones. The princess, forced to flee the Animarium because of the corrupted Zords, still manages to do so, with Merrick's Morpher. She then explains to them that it is thanks to the link between Merrick and his Lunar Caller that she was able to find it without too much difficulty (as if the Morpher absolutely wanted to find its former owner), being also the reason how she ended up at the Ninja Rangers' HQ. With the explanations complete, Cam receives satellite images of the city and notices that the Wild Force Rangers are fighting the Bradley brothers. As the two brothers begin to use their Thunder Blaster for the finisher, the trio intervene and try to reason with their predecessors. The latter explains with disconcerting ease that the talismans Vorgos placed on them have freed them to do whatever they want with their powers and that their first mission to achieve this goal was to destroy the Power Rangers.
The fight ramps up, as they summoned their respective Animal Crystals to summon the five main Wildzords and combined them to form the Wild Force Megazord. The Wind and Thunder Rangers call out their Zords too to form the Storm Megazord and the Thunder Megazord in order to counteract the treacherous seniors. The Wild Force Megazord uses the Giraffe Wildzord to form the Wild Force Megazord Spear Mode to sucessfully take out the Thunder Megazord. The Storm Megazord is then easily beaten too. Just as the Wild Force Megazord is about to strike the final blow, the White Tiger Wildzord stops the Blue Shark Wildzord from attacking the Storm Megazord on the ground, and refuses to obey, as if she realizes that what they are doing is wrong. At the sound of his roar, the Red Lion Wildzord also regains consciousness and orders the other four Wildzords to cancel the combination. The Zords then attempt to reason with the Rangers by using a combination attack to destroy the talismans, but their treacherous partners manage to dodge the attack.
Vorgos is enraged and wonders how the Wild Zords were able to free themselves from their spell. He then asks Lothor to lend him half of his army. Lothor agrees and asks Zurgane, Marah, Kapri, Shimazu, and Motodrone to assist him, accompanied by Jindrax and Toxica. Vorgos and his troop arrive at the scene of the battle. The Lunar Wolf Ranger and Green Samurai Ranger intervene to help the Ninja Rangers. Merrick tells Vorgos, "You can use all the talismans you can to control our Zords, but it will never work. The Wildzords are made to protect Earth, and they understand this mission is of the utmost importance to them." The battle begins, and Shane, Tori, and Dustin confront Vorgos to destroy the amulet that allows the talismans that control the Rangers to fully power up. Hunter, Blake, Cam, and Merrick confront the Wild Force Rangers and the army led by Vorgos. The divided Rangers are in difficulty and are not sure they can win, but after a fierce battle, the Ninja Rangers manage to destroy the control amulet and the effect of the talismans fades. The Wild Force Rangers are then freed from their spell and their Zords express their joy at finding their beloved Rangers.
Now all reunited, the two teams transform and battle the combined forces of Vorgos' army. After each taking care of a specific enemy and with the combined finisher attacks of the Wild Force Rangers' Jungle Sword and the Ninja Rangers' Thunderstorm Cannon, Jindrax and Toxica are defeated once and for all. In a black rage, Vorgos, not having said his last word, becomes giant and then summoned various other monsters that were defeated by the Ninja Rangers in previous battles (such as Super Toxipod, Bopp-A-Roo, and Madtropolis), as he had done with the clones of Toxica and Jindrax. The two teams call out their respective Megazords for a huge giant Megazords vs. giant monsters fight but all the monsters combine their forces to harm the Rangers. The Wind and Thunder Rangers summon the Minizord to combine the Storm and Thunder Megazords into the Thunderstorm Megazord. The Wild Force Rangers decide not to give up and all sneak into the Ninja Rangers' individual cockpits with Cole telling Shane that they need to use the Blue Shark and White Tiger Wildzords as replacement arms for the Thunderstorm Megazord. Alyssia then summons the Elephant Wildzord so that he can combine with the Thunderstorm Megazord. With the use of the sword and shield mode, and then with Cam's Samurai Star Megazord as another replacement right arm to form the Samurai Thunderstorm Megazord and the Wild Zords serving as back up, the two teams easily manage to defeat Vorgos and the remaining fourth giant monsters as well as the Orgs heart. As everyone celebrates another victory, Princess Shayla and Sensei Kanoi Watanabe also congratulate each other on this victory, complimenting the other mentor's team.
After their celebration, the Wild Force Rangers want to return their outfits and Morphers to Princess Shayla, but she refuses and asks them to keep them this time. She tells them that no matter how many Ranger teams there are, the world will need the Wild Force and Ninja Rangers again one day. The two teams bid farewell, with Zen-Aku at their side, to each other by wishing each other the best of luck on their journeys.
