Viserog is a vise-based red body Shadon of the Shadow Empire whose dark energy was used to release Viserzola.  

Character History

Viserog was sent to Earth by Mendulla to use his Sturdy Vise ability to cripple the people of the South Coast Region & create mass suffering through the incredible pain they would feel as a result. He was first seen overlooking a square full of people &, after a pretentious speech about how people's self-obsession would be the end of them, used his Sturdy Vise ability to put vises on all of their heads. He then knocked them all out with his crank ability, but the Gem Rangers arrived & morphed so he summoned Rakers to aid him. Although they were quickly dispensed with the blasters & swords, Viserog tortured his earlier victims to make them stop, but David stopped him with his blaster & June used her speed to turn the crank anti-clockwise, releasing the victims. However, he shook off June & knocked her down with a scepter before stopping shots from Ally & Josh & knocking them flat as well. He then took on Sean but was overwhelmed until he tricked the Gem Ranger into looking away, at which point he unleashed his Sturdy Vise to cripple him. He then tightened the vise at an agonizing pressure to torture his new victim before escaping with a twirl of his cape.

Personality

Viserog is obsessed with vises & squeezing things. He is also quite boastful since he acted like his power surpassed all human ability to overcome his vises.

Powers & Abilities

Powers

• Sturdy Vise: Viserog's signature ability, wherein he generates large purple energy vises before him & make it latch onto his victims' heads. Turning the crank on his head clockwise tightens the vises' grip & deforms the wearers' skulls to the point of intense pain while a counterclockwise turn of his crank loosens their grip & causes them to fall off.
  • Rakers Summoning: He can summon an army of Rakers at will.
  • Teleportation: He can teleport himself to any location at will.

Abilities

• Durability: He was barely fazed by David's blaster, & later survived the blast attack no worse for wear.

Arsenal

• Scepter: Viserog can detach the handle from his crank & use it as a scepter in battle.
  • Energy Empowerment: Viserog can charge up his scepter with violet energy to slash hard enough to take down a single Gem Ranger with every slash.
  • Energy Deflection: His scepter can deflect energy blasts.

• Viserog is the first vise-themed Monster in Power Rangers.
• He is the first monster to be destroyed after his giant counterpart arrives in the human world.
