- The Mighty Morphin' suits are armored.
- Ivan Ooze escapes his prison for the first time in the year 1995 and removes the Rangers' powers; he is later destroyed by comet.
- Ooze creates (and destroys) the Tenga Warriors, rather than Rita and Zedd.
- Rather than Rito Revolto, a pig monster named Mordant acts as Rita and Zedd's left-hand monster.
- Zordon dies briefly, but the Rangers are able to restore him to life with their Ninjetti powers.
- The Rangers gain their Ninjetti powers from Dulcea on Phaedos, rather than from Ninjor.
