- Tristan is portrayed by Booboo Stewart, best known for his role as Jay in the Descendants trilogy. As the Black Wasp Ranger, his suit actor is Shogo Teramoto (åÆŗę¬ ēæę Teramoto ShÅgo?) in Super Sentai footage from King-Ohger.
Design[]
- The face design of the Black Wasp Ranger's helmet is based on the overhead view of a hornet, the mouth plate is colored with four horizontal orange lines to represent a hornet's abdomen.

- Tristan's given name comes from the hero of Arthurian legend.
