The Forgotten Surprise is the twenty-sixth episode of Power Rangers Ancient Legends. This episode serves as a clipshow-style recap of the first half of the series and the revelation of the events that led to the team being formed.
Synopsis
After watching the final episode of Hasbro's Demon Warriors with the rangers, Danny checks the calendar on his phone and is convinced that it's Luke's birthday after both the calendar tells him that the date is December 9th AND when he sees his husband carrying a birthday card in his hand whilst talking to Jacob.
So with some help from Matthew and the others, he sets out on planning the best surprise party ever!

Notes
- As part of Netflix's Super-Charged Afternoons programming block this episode premiered alongside Hasbro's Demon Warriors episode 51, Friends Until the End. Starting on August 31, 2024, Hasbro's Battle Warriors will join Ancient Legends in the Super-Charged Afternoons block.
- Coincidentally, the Legend Rangers react to the same episode that aired alongside theirs.
- The episode of Battle Warriors that aired on August 31st though was a special which was exclusive to the UK. To compensate for this, the non-UK airings of that weeks episode of Power Rangers were instead shown alongside a repeat of the Demon Warriors finale.
- This episode mainly serves as a non-canonical recap episode due to Danny acknowledging Luke's Robo Force counterpart (saying he has known Luke for a long time), and the cast seeing Demon Warriors as a TV show.
- Despite this episode being a clip show like it's Sentai counterpart, most of the clips seen in this episode seem to focus more on Luke and Danny rather than the Rangers. Although there are some clips from Ancient Legends.
- When Luke says "Yes, I do have a card... But it's for Matthew." his mouth doesn't move when he says Matthew's name.
- The idea for this episode came about after the cast celebrated Sean Nichols' (Matthew's actor) real life birthday whilst filming cause of the fact that Sean would temporarily leave the show after this episode and thus would be unavailable for filming in September.
- Tying into the fact that Danny is watching the final episode of Hasbro's Demon Warriors (despite him also being in the episode), the date shown on the calendar in Ranger Prints is Saturday August 24th 2024, the same day as the episode's airdate.
