Temporal Union is the team-up episode between the protagonists of Power Rangers Mystic Force and Power Rangers S.P.D..

On Earth, in 2025, the alarm sounds at Delta Base and the B-Squad, with the Omega Ranger, notice a very strange anomaly. Another time vortex has opened and someone crossed into it several days ago. The Rangers wonder if this is really possible (no longer remembering the events of the previous episode) but Kat explains to them that every 2 years following the destruction of a very powerful artifact called the Flower of Time, a supernatural disturbance occurs in space-time, which creates these time vortices. Four vortices open at very distinct times. Logically, the first was the one that Emperor Gruumm and the SPD Rangers crossed to reach the year 2004. The second is the one that opened 2 days ago and that the Rangers will have to cross again to bring back those who had crossed earlier according to Cruger.

Arriving in 2006 in the city of Briarwood, the SPD Rangers realize that the one who crossed the portal was indeed a malicious person and that he wasted no time in attacking. The Mystic Rangers also received the alert of this attack on their side and immediately went to the scene. The SPD Rangers easily neutralize the monster, identify it with the Delta Morpher, and discover that it was a criminal pursued by the S.P.D. for several crimes committed in Newtech City. A few minutes later, the criminal is destroyed by a shot coming from a mysterious figure, also pursued by the S.P.D. and the Rangers recognize him. This monster is called Scornax and with his partner Rocktar they are the largest traffickers of arms and raw materials in the entire galaxy in 2025. The SPD Rangers attack but a strange mystical seal is marked on Scornax. The latter absorbs the power of their attacks and easily reflects them back. The Mystic Rangers intervene to help their fellow Rangers and attack Scornax.

Daggeron tells the SPD Rangers not to use their laser attacks on Scornax because of the laser seal placed on him, or he will reflect all their attacks back. Just as Nick was about to launch a powerful attack on Scornax, Jack Landors, who was helping civilians evacuate the area with his Super Battlizer, arrives in the middle and hinders Nick in the process. Jack uses a powerful attack without knowing that Scornax can absorb this type of attack. Scornax then launches a powerful attack, knocking all 12 Rangers to the ground and leaving Scoranx to capture Maddison and disappear into a mystical portal. Z follows them through the portal and disappears as well. Nick gets angry about Maddison's disappearance and attacks Jack, blaming him. The two almost come to blows, but the other Rangers around calm things down and decide to gather at Root Core.

Arriving in the forest, the SPD Rangers are stunned to learn that there are already non-human species living on Earth and hiding in the forest. Because time is running out for them, the SPD Rangers reveal that they come from the future and are here to stop Scornax, a dangerous criminal from their time who arrived here a few days ago. Daggeron adds that Scornax has a seal marked on his chest and that he must have been marked by Imperious. The Mystic Rangers received a call from Maddison's Morpher, but to everyone's surprise, Scornax was not only the one who answered, but he wasn't alone either. Rocktar was with him. He tells the Rangers to meet at Mount Magiro, or they'll never see Maddie again. He also adds that Udonna and Daggeron know very well why this mountain is imported and tells the two teams to hurry. Before the SPD Rangers could ask him what happened to Z, Rocktar ended the call.

Everyone demands explanations, especially the SPD Rangers who know that it was at Mount Magiro that the Flower of Time was sealed thanks to the little information they have in their database. Udonna explains to them that the Flower of Time is a very powerful and very dangerous artifact. She adds that the flower of time can reverse, accelerate and even freeze the course of time on earth, and not only on humans but nature and everything related to time as well. According to Udonna, this artifact must absolutely not fall into the wrong hands, so that's why Mystic Mother got her hands on it and sealed it with a spell that only well-intentioned people can break.

Only important people like Daggeron, Udonna, or even Imperious/Calindor are aware of its location, prompting Udonna to believe, or even be sure, that the two monsters they had previously called are in cahoots with Imperious. As for the monsters and their hostages, in the other world, Maddie is held captive and Rocktar takes the opportunity to reveal his plan to Imperious and Necrolai: when the Flower of Time is in his possession, he will use it to accelerate the aging process on all humans until reaching total extermination. He will also use it on volcanoes and oceans as well as any elements that will cause unprecedented cataclysms. Thus, the demons of the other world will be the only ones to reign on Earth and the course of history will be changed upon their return in the future and the founders of the SPD will no longer be able to establish it on Earth. A plan that pleases Imperious. Z overheard everything and interrupts their discussion by attacking them, however Rocktar easily neutralizes her despite her being equipped with S.W.A.T. mode. Now, Z is taken prisoner with Maddison.

The other Rangers are on their way to Mount Magiro and during the journey Jenji wakes up from his long nap and comes out of the Laser Lamp. He meets the SPD Rangers and is surprised to know that they are not surprised to see a big talking cat next to the Rangers. Bridge and Jack explain to him that they come from the future and that in their time, humans and aliens coexist together. Following this, Jenji adds that he met someone who told him exactly the same thing a few days ago and that he too was a visitor from the future. He describes this person as an alien who runs a restaurant in the future and that he also has an unconditional love for garbage but that however he has never seen him since. The SPD Rangers then realize a miscalculation. If Piggy, the person Jenji mentioned, arrived in 2006 long before Rocktar and Scornax, that means Piggy used the very first vortex that opened (Gruumm and the Rangers then used the second one to go to 2004 and the third one was the one used by Rocktar, Scornax and the SPD Rangers to go to 2006). They then realize that the last portal that opens will be the last and if the situation is not brought under control quickly, the SPD Rangers will be stuck in 2006 for a while.

Arriving at Mount Magiro, the Rangers break the spell and Nick retrieves the Flower of Time. Meanwhile, Jenji tries to create a diversion to trick Scornax, a diversion that allows Nick, Chip, Jack and Sky to free Maddie and Z. Enraged, Scornax attacks them and manages to steal the Flower of Time before attacks from Jack and Nick, not having said their last word, get it back. Rocktar then appears, reveals his plan to the Rangers and attacks them, all this before having recovered the Flower of Time, followed by the Shadow Ranger, who was able to narrowly use the last vortex which opened just in time and came to extract Nick and Jack from the attack in which they were going to be caught by Rocktar. Koragg then also joins the battle, having sensed Cruger's strength, and engages in a fight in which these two powerful warriors use their powerful attacks and return blow for blow, with a certain respect being established between the two fighters. Korrag tells him that these kinds of warriors are rare and that it was an honor for him to have known and faced him before disappearing.

Meanwhile, Rocktar and Scornax have taken the opportunity to charge their new machine so that it can use the powers of the Flower of Time. The Rangers call on the Manticore Megazord and S.W.A.T. Megazord to lead a battle in space. Back on Earth, another battle of giants begins and the two teams succeed in destroying Rocktar and Scornax's robot with the Delta Megazord, ehe Titan Megazord, the Omegamax Megazord and the Solar Streak Megazord. Rocktar and Scornax escape but are fought and eventually deleted by the 12 Rangers, despite the reinforcements that Imperious had sent to Scornax and Rocktar. Case closed, everyone congratulates themselves for this victory and before returning to their time, the SPD Rangers go to retrieve Piggy, who explains to them that he ended up in 2006 because he bought a small space shuttle on the black market because one of his dreams was to go around his head, which the two Ranger teams all laughed at. Unfortunately, the vortex opened and he could not resist the attraction and was swallowed up and unfortunately for Piggy, this shuttle was not approved, which explains why no one detected his crossing at that time. The SPD Rangers then lose their memories, erased by Cruger, and return to the future.

  • An idea for the episode hinted that the SPD Rangers appearing in this episode would be the B-Squad led by Sky as the Red Ranger, which would have set this episode after the events of SPD and would have included the appearance of Lina Song, though it has been ultimately scrapped.
