Sir Jasper

Sir Jasper is a mysterious immortal warrior who was among those who fought for Zordon during the war between the forces of good & Rita Repulsa's evil army 10,000 years ago. Regarded as the finest warrior of Tarmac III, it was there where he fought Rita's Knasty Knight, who purportedly made "space dust" out of him before taking the Sword of Darkness & presenting it as a gift to Rita. [[Happy Birthday, Zack|Green With Evil]] Not long afterwards, Jasper was mercifully saved by Zordon who, through the power of the Phoenix Orb, gave him the ability to become the Phoenix Ranger.

During his new life as the Phoenix Ranger, Jasper fought alongside the Nova Rangers. Following the Nova Rangers' downfall, he went into cryosleep for decades.

He is the main protagonist of Power Rangers: Return of the Phoenix.

Personality[]

Sir Jasper is known for his calm & composed demeanor. He is often the voice of reason among his teammates, dedicated to the mission, & always prioritizes the safety of his team above his own. His impeccable leadership skills & strategic thinking make him a valuable asset to the team. Despite his somewhat arrogant personality, he is quite intelligent & is able to take in details quickly.

Even with his arrogance, he still understands the importance of friendship and comradery, as seen by his close moments with Omwhyzo. When he found out that he didn't understand his old partner's feelings, he was clearly guilty and remorseful, making it up to him be still calling him his friend. This extends towards willingly sacrificing himself for his teammates, though some of his cocky nature remains.

Being a knight & gentleman, Jasper has a thing for women & is often shown to be quite flirtatious. Of course, he is very careful with his affections, & he knows when not to cross the line. An example of this is when he tried to flirt with Izzy, but soon backed off upon learning that she & Fern were dating, & he respected that.

Emperor Vaddros's Phoenix Form

This is the form Emperor Vaddros acquired after possessing Jasper's body. This gives him access to the Phoenix Orb's power, including immortality. This form shared many similarities to his original form, though his usual shoulder armor was absent. Elements of Jasper's Phoenix Ranger form were presented by the Phoenix Ranger's symbol tatted over various areas of his body, including the entirety of his wingspan & face. He also wore tattered remnants of Jasper's clothes which remained after his metamorphosis. Physical changes aside, his possession of Jasper also altered Emperor Vaddros's own personality, incorporating the qualities of Jasper into his own.

  • Dark Matter Absorption: Emperor Vaddros was able to absorb dark matter to make his body stronger.
  • Immortality: As a result of possessing Jasper, Emperor Vaddros gained the power of the Phoenix System as well.
    • Immortality Restoration - By using his ability to absorb dark matter, Emperor Vaddros can potentially restore his immortality as well.
  • Dark Matter Transformation - Emperor Vaddros was able to convert an individual's body into dark matter as well, as was done with Tarrick & the other Cosmic Fury Rangers (sans Amelia) after they were defeated.
    • Universal Dark Matter Transformation - Emperor Vaddros converted everyone else in the universe into dark matter & absorbed them into his body.
      • Dark Matter Evolution - Emperor Vaddros's absorption of everybody in the universe into his body resulted in his transformation into his final form.

  • Phoenix Orb - Emperor Vaddros's weakness in this form was Jasper's power source as it restricted his possession of Jasper, preventing him from taking complete control of Jasper's body.
