Sharyo Sentai Accelger (車両戦隊 アクセルジャー, lit. Vehicle Squadron Accelger) is a series created by B-Meiome13. It is the 42nd series in the Super Sentai franchise in the BM13 Timeline. It has a vehicle theme, with elements of space and magic surrounding it.
Plot[]
Deep into the voids of outer space, in a planet known as Planet Varuun, there are 6 magical crystals that has immense power beyond science's explanation. They were called the VehiCrystals. These crystals were made by the heavenly deity residing in the planet, DaiKurumaJin(大車神, lit. Great Car God), alongside 5 legendary machines called DriveGuardians. DaiKurumaJin has sensed a malignant threat approaching. In order to combat this, five warriors are given the power of the VehiCrystals. These six warriors became the Accelgers, sworn protectors of the planet.
One night, the threat that DaiKurumaJin sensed has come to reality. The Demon Empire Chaozers(悪魔帝国 カオザース, Akuma Teikoku Kaozaasu), a battalion of demons sworn to their leader, Devifer, who's goal is to obtain the VehiCrystals in the hopes to revive his late son. Unprepared, the planet was devastated by their attack. As a last ditch effort before the planet was destroyed by the empire, the five rangers entrusted their VehiCrystals, in the form of the DriPhones, as well as their DriveGuardians and the rest of their gear to their children. They sent them off to a far planet, unbeknownst to the empire, Earth.
Fast forward to 13 years later, the children are now living on Earth amongst the humans. Unknown to them, the Chaozers have finally found the VehiCrystals' energy signal and followed it all the way to Earth. The Chaozers attacked Earth, showing no mercy to the inhabitants. The five children are now given the task to protect the Earth with their power, and prevent the empire from destroying the planet they call home once more.
After some time passed, someone who claimed to be the scientist who created the idea of the DriveGuardians, named Gairo, found the Accelgers and approached them, According to him, he also escaped to Earth prior to the initial attack of the Chaozers on Varuun after devising the idea of the DriveGuardians. He did this out of sheer fear of the Chaozers, who has already taken down his loved ones in the past. Gairo wanted to ally up with the Accelgers and help them take down the Chaozers, but the Accelgers were doubting his claims, as he had no way to prove that he was truly the scientist he claimed to be, in addition to not wanting his cowardliness to affect the team's performance.
However, in the fight ensuing after this interaction, the Accelgers find themselves striken down. Unknown to both parties, Gairo secretly followed the team to the battle site. Seeing the Accelgers wounded and about to die, flashbacks of his family as well as the collapse of Varuun came to his mind. Reinvigorating his resolution to fight against the Chaozers despite his prior weakness of heart, he stepped in right before the Chaozer General dealt the finishing blow to the Accelgers. Using his self-made powers, he transformed into the sixth member of the Accelgers, AccelSilver. With his blinding speed, he effortlessly took out the Chaozer General. Seeing this, the Accelgers saw his true potential, and decided to welcome him in the team.
A mystery is unfolded at the joining of Gairo, however. As the powers that Gairo utilizes are from an artificial VehiCrystal that he created himself, it meant that one more VehiCrystal was yet to be found. If this fell into the hands of the Chaozers, it may spell big trouble. The war then became a race, as the party that finds the VehiCrystal essentially ensures victory.
A mysterious man appears in the midst of a heated battle, calling himself Tenji. The man flashes a device, which he uses to transform into yet another warrior: AccelKnight. Gairo recognizes the suit, and immediately realizes that this man was the wielder of the sixth missing VehiCrystal. Tenji was revealed to be a traitor amongst the original Accelgers, taking the VehiCrystal for his own and escaping Varuun amidst the war. Present day, Tenji proclaims the Chaozers to be obstacles in his path, and makes short work of them. The Accelgers, thinking that he is on their side after saving them, welcomes him into the group. However, Tenji sees them as weak warriors, so he strikes them down in refusal, also taking them out with relative ease. As the fight between the Chaozers and the Accelgers continue, AccelKnight shows up at various points to aid either party in their advancements, choosing whichever side he sees as amusing to him.
Soon, a terrifying threat struck Earth. Chaozer Duke Drendel, one of Devifer's trusted generals, threatened to strike down the Earth's core with his immense power. Gairo noticed a similarity of this power with that of DaiKurumaJin himself. Soon enough, on the battlefield, it was revealed that embedded in Drendel's chest was the Rocket Scepter. The Rocket Scepter was DaiKurumaJin's staff and weapon of choice before their eventual perish. The scepter was initially in the hands of the Chaozers after the siege at Varuun. It was given to Chaozer Duke Drendel, who was able to unleash part of its power through brute force. Even the partial amount of power from the scepter was enough to overwhelm the six Accelgers. Through a meticulous plan, the Accelgers were able to figure out how to remove the Rocket Scepter from Drendel's body, ridding him of his immense power and allowing the Accelgers to reclaim the monarch's symbol.
The power of the Rocket Scepter resonated with the VehiCrystals' powers, and thus gave birth to the Accelgers' most formidable weapon against the Chaozers: the Cosmic Tector. Wielding the power of the late king in his hands, AccelRed is able to easily overpower Drendel and finish him off.
