Samuel is gentle, funny, and compassionate, and tries to be as well-meaning as he can to the people around him. He has a desire for peace and unity, so he took up the job as a cop to reach that goal. Samuel always tries to be dedicated by his job, but can be overrun by his own pressure for trying to do things correctly. If he does mess up, he will try to make up for it in any way he can, even if it annoys others or they don't want it. He doesn't mean to be annoying, he is genuinely kind and wants to please the people around him. It's just that he can't really figure out how to yet.

- He does not enjoy fighting, even though he is a ranger. If he has to, he will. If he does not have to, he'll try to dodge attacks or not attack physically. He isn't a bad fighter, not at all, especially for his former profession, but he does not like physical violence.
- Samuel is extremely protective of his 11 year old younger sister, Mandy. She really doesn't like how he is around her, because she finds it embarassing, but he wants to make sure she is safe.
- He found the results of the court hearing to be very shocking and horrifying, and did not want to see such young people serving in prison, so he gave them the powers to set them free.
