Power Rangers Throttle Force is the 31st season of Power Rangers, serving as an adaptation of the 48th Super Sentai series, Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger, with minimal props and costumes from the 47th Super Sentai series, Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger. The series follows Griffin Holden as he gathers a team to fight against the brutal Roadangers and win a racing tournament.

It is the fifth fanseries created by TealKitsune, the fourth Power Rangers fanseries, and the first of them to adapt a Super Sentai series. Its motifs are vehicles, racing, and space.

Plot[]

Two years ago, a meteor shower hit the Earth, unleashing brutal creatures known as Roadangers. Humanity was forced to deal with them and integrate their fears into their daily lives. However, not all meteors contained Roadangers. Griffin Holden, a young child, found one meteor outside his house, and slowly approaching it, found a creature calling itself Boombot. The duo have been inseperable ever since.

In other news... the travelling tournament known as The Nitro Nexus Grand Prix has reached our humble corner of the Milky Way! Contestants can race their way across specialised stadiums made out of the Morphin Grid itself for the grand prize of one wish.

In the year 2023, there was a meteor shower unlike any other. Encased in these meteors were creatures known as Roadangers, who would stop at nothing to survive, even if it meant tearing humanity apart. However, one certain meteor crashed into a forest near the city of San Bunderas. An adventurous child, Griffin Holden, would find this meteor, and as it opened, found something, or someone, inside. This creature revealed itself to be known as Boombot. With Griffin's skills in car repair (and Boombot's striking interal similarity to a vehicle), Boombot found himself indebted to Griffin, and the two became friends in secret, with only Griffin's two childhood friends, Rex Burns and Lydia Felison, knowing his secret.

Over the span of two years, humanity had learnt how to deal with Roadangers and has had a major societal shift. After extensive research, it has been confirmed that Roadangers are born from and thrive due to fear. This has left humanity with a choice: either do nothing and let the Roadangers wreak havoc, or risk it all to try and defeat them.

However, a new discovery has been made. Rex and Lydia have played host to Roadangers so strong that their bodies were taken over. This seems to coincide with Wildspin, the self-proclaimed leader of the Astral Mafia and creator of the Roadangers, descending onto Earth and wreaking even more havoc. Wildspin took Rex and Lydia on, wiping their free will in the process. Guided by Lemomon, they now know themselves as the Foedozers.

Griffin Holden/Throttle Series Red is a young man who comes from a heritage of rich car manufacturers, but instead wants to work as a mechanic. His family hates this, but they love him nonetheless. He can be quite hot-blooded, but as his team finds out, he does know when to be quiet.

Blaise/Throttle Series Pink is a young girl who seemingly is a permanent older sister. She can find herself doing anything she puts her mind to, though her being extremely ditzy means she can never choose a single thing to do.

Alexa/Throttle Series Black is a police cadet with a love for dogs. She refuses to tolerate any misbehaviour in her teammates, to their dismay. Alexa is on the hunt for Quincy Baek, a mysterious thief, though she is unaware that the two of them are teammates.

Quincy Baek/Throttle Series Orange is a self-proclaimed "gentleman thief" who loves leaving behind trails for Alexa. Neither of the two are aware of their identities as teammates.

Sultan Coron of Circuit-1/Throttle Series Purple/Unnamed Black Ranger or simply Coron is an eccentric young man who is the sultan of a planet called Circuit-1. He loves tinkering with things and made both his own and Alexa and Quincy's Morphers purely from looking at Griffin's. As an alien on Earth, Coron has a strange fashion sense and finds himself at first unable to speak to anyone except Griffin and Nyoomoid.

  • Throttle Force will be aimed at a slightly higher audience than Power Rangers series before it, however, it will keep its comedic tone.
  • Though the series will be around 30-40 episodes long, there is hinted to be more content beyond the series' initial airing.
  • Throttle Force is the first Power Rangers TV series to:
    • have an explicitly gay male Ranger (being Coron).
    • have a female Black Ranger (being Alexa, as well as the unnamed Black Ranger from flashbacks).
