Power Rangers Shaolin Squadron is the 2nd overall season of Power Rangers, serving as an adaptation of the 17th Super Sentai season Gosei Sentai Dairanger.
The show premiered on July 21st, 1994 after the finale of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. The show ran until 1995, when it was replaced with Mighty Morphin Alien Rangers.

Due to the fact that Mighty Morphin Power Rangers was a hit, it inspired Saban to continue the Mighty Morphin saga with a Dairanger adaptation. However, it was just shown off as Power Rangers (Season 2). The title would not be revealed until a trailer at the end of Doomsday, Part 2 revealed the show's title.
