Plot[]

200 years ago in Japan, an army of demons known as the Ashura Clan came from the Netherworld to conquer the world of the living. As they laid siege to the land, the Emperor of Japan called upon the samurai of the Ozawa Clan to defeat them. Possessing the teachings of Calligraphy Power, the ability to make the impossible happen by drawing magical kanji, they fought a long war and eventually defeated their leader, Master Xandred. The Ashura Clan was banished back into the Netherworld and peace was restored. After the war the lord and his retainers split up and scattered themselves around the world in order to keep the secrets of Calligraphy Power safe from falling into the wrong hands. Each one would train their children and pass on their teachings from generation to generation in case the Ashura Clan were to ever return.

The lord of clan settled in the United States in the city of Stone Canyon, California. His decedents have trained and honed their skills, awaiting the day the Ashura Clan would return. Raised by his faithful butler/vessel Mr. Mason after the loss of his father, Mark, the 18th head of the Ozawa Clan has trained his whole life to prepare for the Ashuraā€™s arrival. In 2010 they have risen and now seek the true heir of the clan to lead them to victory. Mark must now gather the four current vessels from across the world and defend it as the Power Rangers Samurai!
