Power Rangers Royal Cosmic is the 2nd overall season of Power Rangers, serving as an adaptation of the 47th Super Sentai series, Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger. The series is Nathan10828's second production under the reboot continuity.

Production

On July 23, 2023, Nathan10828 revealed that the next season after Power Rangers Crystal Fury will be a King-Ohger's adaptation, but the official title was yet to be revealed at the time and was simply called "Power Rangers Season 2". On August 6, it was revealed that the adaptation would be called "Power Rangers Royal Cosmic" ahead of the release of Power Rangers Crystal Fury.

Plot

2,000 years ago, faced with an attack by the Bugnaroks, the kings and queens who ruled the kingdoms of Camelot were forced to unite to become its heroes. However, a prophecy exists that, in the present day, the Bugnaroks have returned to invade the surface. The descendants of these ancient heroes are then given the power of their ancestors and become the next generation of heroes capable of preventing their rise. With the help of the Excalibur, they became the Royal Rangers, saving the world from invasion.

• Power Rangers Royal Cosmic is the first season:
  • To have completely different Ranger suits from the previous season. This was done to match the annual suit change of the Super Sentai series.
  • To not feature a Pink Ranger nor a Green Ranger.
  • To feature a female Yellow Ranger, a Purple Ranger, a Black Ranger and a White Ranger.
    • Despite the Purple Ranger being a female within Power Rangers, in King-Ohger, the Purple Ranger, named Rita, was gender-neutral.
  • To take place in another planet than Earth.
  • To completely bypass a season of Super Sentai, skipping both Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger and Avataro Sentai Donbrothers to instead adapt Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger.
• This is the first Power Rangers series to split the season into 2 parts.
