Power Rangers Ninja Starz is an adaptation of Shuriken Sentai Ninniger, the 39th Super Sentai series.
Plot[]
A long time ago, a group of powerful ninja warriors buried their swords deep beneath the Earth in order to prevent a horde of evil spirits from gaining access to them. In the present, the horde returns, forcing the descendants of the ninjas to find the mystical swords to take up the mantle of the "Ninja Star" Rangers.
