Power Rangers Epic is the 41st fanfictional season of Power Rangers, based on Avataro Sentai Donbrothers. It serves as a sequel to Power Rangers Mecha Force.

Plot

Many years ago, somewhere in the distant galaxy on the planet Orat, the barbaric Braks invaded & attacked a village of the peaceful Shenians, laying waste to their land. During the attack, an infant Shenian boy was placed in a peach-shaped capsule & sent off into outer space, & he eventually crash-landed on Earth, where he was found & adopted by loving human parents.

Eighteen years later, when the Braks target Earth, Logan--the boy from Orat--brings together a team of Power Rangers to take on the army in an epic battle.

Notes

  • The theme of Power Rangers Epic's Super Sentai counterpart, Avataro Sentai Donbrothers, is based on the Japanese legend of Momotaro. Because a majority of people of the United States are unfamiliar with the story, Hasbro made several changes to make Epic more Western for American audiences. Of course, some references to Momotaro can be noticed in the show:
    • The name of Logan & Vora's home planet, Orat, when spelled backwards, spells "Taro", which is a stand-alone masculine Japanese given name or a common name suffix (literally meaning "eldest son").
    • Vora & her race, the Braks, are based on the Oni, the antagonists from the Momotaro legend, who lived on an island where they captured humans & enslaved them, whilst also robbing them of their treasures.
  • Epic shares some similarities with Super Megaforce:
    • Both are post-Anniversary seasons. (Of course, Super Megaforce's Sentai counterpart, Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger, is an anniversary season.)
    • Both are sequels to previous seasons, both of which were anniversary seasons. (Super Megaforce is a sequel to Megaforce, & Epic is a sequel to Mecha Force.)
    • Both Ranger teams are able to morph into past Power Rangers.
