Power Rangers Dino Knights is the 28th season of Power Rangers and the second series to be produced under the franchise's acquisition from Hasbro, under their content production division Entertainment One. The series burrows footage, costumes, and props from the 43th Super Sentai series, Kishiryu Sentai Ryusoulger.

Dino Knights will be followed by the 29th season, Power Rangers Crystal Paladins in 2022.

- The first series in the Hasbro Era to have a gender-bent Ranger since Power Rangers Wild Force where Tessa Rao playing Izzy, the Green Ranger, whose Sentai counterpart was male.
- The first Power Rangers series to not be scored by Noam Kaniel and the first since RPM to not have element of "Go Go Power Rangers in its soundtrack.

The series was originally gonna to be named Power Rangers Dino Fury. But however, the executives at Hasbro decide to change it to Dino Knights.
Both Javi and Izzy's surname were originally gonna be Gracia. But however, the producers change it to ??? to avoid confusion with Antonio Gracia, the Samurai Gold Ranger, from Power Rangers Samurai and Super Samurai.
Zane was originally gonna be named Zayto where he and Aiyon were originally aliens from the planet Rafkon and their were gonna gain their powers from the Morphin Masters during the prehistoric era. Until, it was completely change when their want to kept the knight motif where Zane was a knight from medieval era and Aiyon is descendant from the original Dino Knights Gold Ranger and an Atlantean.
