Plot[]

Many years in the past, the malevolent Cryptid Clan began a universal conquest, annihilating all organic life on every planet they encountered. However, upon attempting to do the same to Earth, they were thwarted by the Animasters - the three wise sages who watched over the Digi Dimension and protect all animal life. The Animasters sealed them in another dimension with the six powerful Primal Prisms. Now, in the present, the Cryptid Clan has escaped their dimensional prison, and they plan to obtain the Animal Prisms, corrupt their energy, and use them to power their ultimate weapon against Earth ā€“ and one Prism is stolen by the Clanā€™s forces in the process. As a last resort, the remaining five Prisms are sent off to find five worthy youths to send to the Animasters' base in the Digi Dimension. These five heroes are chosen to be infused with animal spirit to become the ultimate fighting force against the evil Cryptids and their minions: they are the Power Rangers Digimal Force!

Ranger Bios[]

Bryce Parker: The team leader, Bryce grew up in a rural town with his mother, brother Logan, and his dog. He enjoyed exploring the wilderness around his home as a child, and feels comfort in nature as a result. Once the Eagle Prism finds him, everything changes. He is found and attacked by Nytrax, and is warped to the Animasters' base where he is chosen as the team leader. Upon learning of the Cryptid Clan and their intentions, he is determined to stop at nothing to protect his home and his family. He is courageous, adventurous, and doesn't shy away from anything that seems difficult.

Sasha Diaz: Sasha is an aspiring singer/songwriter who dreams of fame in the future, although she insists that she won't let fame corrupt her. The Shark Prism finds her on the way home from a reality TV audition in which she made callbacks. She is attacked by Vyra and is warped to the Animasters' base, where she becomes the team's second-in-command. Sasha is outgoing, kind, and has a bubbly personality most of the time, though she's not without her serious moments. She's caring and tends to be the "big sister" of the team.

Kyle Hawkins: A daredevil and extreme sports fanatic, Kyle often spends time practicing bike and skateboard stunts at the local skate park. While at the skate park, the Lion Prism finds him, and he is approached by Emphor who intimidatingly demands the prism. After a failed escape attempt, he is warped to the Animasters' base and becomes the Yellow Ranger. He's laid-back most of the time, but is enthusiastic about doing his duties, and is an energetic fighter when thrust into danger.

Evan Sawyer: The youngest member of the team, Evan is a gamer and often spends time at the 8-Bit Blitz arcade, filling in every scoreboard slot on every arcade machine in the building. When he and his best friend Ava are found by the Elephant Prism and the Tiger Prism on the way home from 8-Bit Blitz, they are ambushed by a horde of Tentroids and are warped to the Animasters' base before they can be harmed, and Evan is made the Green Ranger. He's talkative, logical, practical, a real wisecracker, and holds his retro V-Warp handheld console dearly, since he inherited it from his father upon his death prior to the series.

Ava Morrison: A dancer experienced in almost every style, Ava often break-dances outside 8-Bit Blitz to raise money for her poor family. If she's not there, she's practicing one of many styles at the local dance studio. When she and her best friend Evan are found by the Tiger Prism and the Elephant Prism on the way home from 8-Bit Blitz, they are ambushed by a horde of Tentroids and are warped to the Animasters' base before they can be harmed, and Ava is made the White Ranger. She is persistent, diligent, and is a sarcastic joker, just as wisecracking as Evan.

Brad Thornton: An amateur fisherman, Brad is a loner who has just moved to the suburban city of Southwell, and is searching for a purpose. The Cryptid Clan abducts him and infuse him with the power of their artificial Trinimal Prism, and convert him to their side. After the Rangers break the brainwashing spell cast on him, he joins them and fights with the power of three different animals at once. He's initially quiet and shy, but is determined to save Earth once he gains Bryce's trust and friendship.

Logan Parker: Logan is Bryceā€™s older brother, who became worried sick upon his brotherā€™s disappearance. While Bryce hopes to return home, little does he know that Logan is looking for him - and little does Logan know that the Hawk Prism is looking for him as well. Upon bonding with the Hawk Prism, he saves Bryceā€™s life in battle, and joins the team as the Orange Ranger. Logan is loyal, always looking out for his brother, and he's just as adventurous as Bryce, too.

Allies[]

  • The Three Animasters - These three sages are the protectors of all wildlife, and creators of the sacred Primal Prisms. They rule in the Digi Dimension - a pocket dimension inhabited by digital animal avatars known as Digimals - the species these three belong to. Each is an expert in the three categories of animal life - land, sky, and sea. They serve as the mentors of the Digimal Rangers.
    • Cawlin- An anthropomorphic eagle Digimal, this Animaster is an expert in abilities of all animals that have the gift of flight. He is considered the smartest of the three Animasters.
    • Koram - An anthropomorphic gorilla Digimal, this Animaster is an expert in abilities of animals that live on land. He is considered the strongest of the three Animasters. He granted the Red Ranger his Gorilla powers.
    • Finean- An anthropomorpic whale Digimal, this Animaster is an expert in abilities of animals that live in the ocean. He is considered the stealthiest of the Animasters, and granted the Red Ranger his Whale powers.

Civilians[]

  • Mr. Benson - the owner of 8-Bit Blitz, an arcade and pizzeria that Evan frequents, and where the Rangers get part-time jobs to blend in with the community.

Villains[]

Cryptid Clan[]

The main villains of the season, the Cryptid Clan are an army of bionic aliens that attempted to destroy all organic life in the universe before being sealed away by the Animasters. They aim to unite the Animal Prisms and corrupt them with dark energy, turning them into a weapon so powerful that nothing will stand in their way of their mission to eradicate Earth.

  • Emperor Xenicon - The leader of the Cryptid Clan and a former high-ranking member of the Armada, bent on decaying the Earth and all of its inhabitants, Emperor Xenicon is cold-hearted, fierce, menacing and determined to get what he wants. He speaks in a chilling voice, and utterly despises the Rangers, and sends down his fiercest Cryptid Elites in attempts to destroy them and get his army one step closer to turning Earth into a desolate tech wasteland. He pilots the Empire's base ship - the Archer Vessel. He unlocks a more powerful Evolved form late in the season. It is revealed in the finale that his real motive for the Cryptid Clan's genocidal actions was not for his own amusement but rather to prove himself the ultimate life form of the universe; this was his plan as a member of the Armada, but his idea was shot down by Emperor Mavro. After Prince Vekar's demise, Xenicon went AWOL, and upon the Armada's defeat, he rallied his own kind to join his cause, while keeping his true motives secret from his followers.
  • Vyra - The second in command of the Cryptid Clan, Vyra may be the only female key member, but is ruthless nonetheless. One of the most inventive members of the Clan, she was responsible for forging the Medals of Revival, which she fires from a mounted cannon on the Archer Vessel down to a dying Cryptid Elite on Earth, where it inserts into a slot on its body, revitalizing it and causing it to grow to a giant size at an alarming rate.
  • Nytrax - The brawn of the Cryptid Clan, Nytrax takes his affilation's goal just as seriously as Xenicon does, and wields a large sword. He can get somewhat demented in battle against the Rangers sometimes, which can usually give them the upper hand, or a disadvantage. He mentors Cryptid Elites who rely on physical strength. Nytrax also has a much more powerful form that Xenicon awakens towards the season's end.
  • Emphor - The brains of the Cryptid Clan, Emphor does not wield a weapon in battle, as he relies on his skill of mental powers. He uses his wits to usually gain an advantage in battle against the Rangers. He mentors Cryptid Elites who rely on mental power rather than weapons or brawn. He forms a secret alliance with Vilroth.
  • C.H.A.O.S. - C.H.A.O.S. (Colossal Heavy Android Officer of Savagery) is a sentient machine capable of mass destruction used by the Cryptid Clan. After it was initially destroyed by the Rangers, it was remodeled as C.H.A.O.S. 2.0, only to be destroyed again.
  • Tentroids - The Tentroids are the tentacled footsoldiers of the Empire. They pilot the Tentroid Delta Fighter ships.

Other Villains[]

  • Vilroth - Known as the Creature Hunter, this warrior was not affiliated with the Cryptid Clan, and although he initially joined forces, he steps away from them, choosing to work alone in his efforts. Vilroth uses a sharp blade and knows incredibly proficient battle techniques, and aims to find both the Red Ranger and the legendary Whale Zord, and make them his next hunting trophies. He wields a Memory Gauntlet that allows him to create clones out of his targets' memories.
  • Vilroth's Villain Clones - By scanning the memories of the Mega Rangers, thanks to the Legendary Ranger Keys, Vilroth is able to create memory clones of some of the most feared villains faced by Rangers past and present.

Cryptid Elites[]

These are the elite soldiers of the Cryptid Clan, and they are sent to Earth to combat the Rangers in attempts to destroy them. However, they are no match for the Rangers' weapons and DigiZords.

  • Splintarr - a Cryptid Elite composed of jagged sharp glass shards that can be fired from his body at rapid speeds. He is the first to be fought by the Rangers.
  • Spearsome - This Cryptid Elite battles with a large bladed spear.
  • Crossfire - A large-headed crossbow-wielding Cryptid Elite who has an entire arsenal of various arrows.
  • Nordicus - A Nordic-accented Cryptid Elite with an electrically-charged axe.
  • Madmaw - A wide-mouthed alligator-like Cryptid Elite with teeth as thick as stone and sharp as knives.
  • Brasster - This odd Cryptid Elite can play songs from his brass horn shoulder that either cause pain or cause others to violently rampage.
  • Bloomfume - A plantlike Cryptid Elite who can fire seeds and aromas from her rosy shoulders, and can grow evil plants.
  • Braindrain - This Cryptid Elite is able to rid people of their ability to speak. What appears to be the "hat" on his head is actually Braindrain himself; he can detach from his decoy "body" and can control other beings by landing on their heads.
  • Vacculous - This Cryptid Elite can use his suction arms to vaccum anything into his large stomach. He is partnered with Triggeron to stop the Rangers from deactivating the Dome of Destruction.
  • Triggeron - This Cryptid Elite can shoot fireballs from his shoulders and knees. He is partnered with Vacculous to stop the Rangers from deactivating the Dome of Destruction.
  • Hykarr - a mountain climber Cryptid Elitewho fights with dual pickaxes that can be either used as melee weapons or be used as thrown weapons.
  • Trumpcard - This king-themed Cryptid Elite wields playing cards that he uses as thrown weapons and casts spells with. He is devious and doesn't play by the rules.
  • Kingpin - Armed with bowling pin clubs, thisCryptid Elite can also fire bowling balls off of his arms, which act as ramps.
  • Jailbreak - This prisoner-themed Cryptid Elite wields a ball-and-chain flail weapon and can imprison innocent humans with shackles.
  • Blastery- This tricky Cryptid Elite can create convincing illusions that disguise his arsenal of bombs as random inanimate objects.
  • Shipwrecker - This seafaring Cryptid Elite can fire blasts from his shouldermounted cannon.
  • Snapshot - This Cryptid Elite can trap objects and living organisms in photos with his shoulder camera.
  • Sambrawl - A dancing, flamboyant pyromaniac Cryptid Elite who starts fires with his dance moves and fights in rhythm.
  • The Double-Dutchers - Dutchy and Dutcho are twin, cap-wearing Cryptid Elites, armed with the Doom-Rope, which detonates anything it comes into contact with, which is especially dangerous when they force their victims into a game of Double-Dutch. Not only that, but if one brother is destroyed, the other brother can ressurect him - meaning that they can only be destroyed for good if both brothers are destroyed before one can revive the other.
  • Gourmenace - This chef Cryptid Elite is armed with a large pepper grinder and concocts dishes that bloat and immobilize anyone who eats them.
  • Paintstain - Whatever this artist Cryptid Elite paints gains sentience and is commanded to wreak havoc.

Episodes[]

  1. Call of the Wild, Part 1: When the Cryptid Clan sets Earth in its sights, five worthy youths are sought out by five of the Primal Prisms to become the newest team of Power Rangers.
  2. Call of the Wild, Part 2: Bryce worries for his far-away family and begins having second thoughts about leading the team, much to his teammates' dismay.
  3. Instinct to Protect: When the Cryptid Clan begins putting defenseless humans in danger, the Rangers realize that their mission is only going to get more difficult from here onwards.
  4. Eagle Eye: As the Rangers practice using their enhanced animal senses, Bryce still struggles with his enhanced eagle sight abilities, which he'll need to beat the newest Cryptid Elite to invade Earth.
  5. A Fight To The Finish: After an argument, Sasha and Kyle are kidnapped by a Cryptid Elite and forced to fight one another.
  6. The Path to Power: The team goes on a search for a lost DigiZord, and Bryce is promised a new power set by Koram, but he refuses to give him access to it until he deems him ready.
  7. Heart of the Gorilla: Now with his new Gorilla powers unlocked, Bryce joins his teammates as the search for the lost DigiZord continues.
  8. Face the Music: Sasha is given the opportunity to sign with a record label and consults Kyle for advice, but things get bad when a new Cryptid Elite exploits her enhanced shark hearing by brainwashing her into violent rampages using his music.
  9. One Moment in Time: The Rangers find themself repeating the same battle against the same Cryptid Elite over and over again, and must find a way to break the cycle.
  10. Speak No Evil: Evan visits a struggling comic shop and befriends the owner. Meanwhile a new Cryptid Elite begins robbing people of their ability to speak, including the other Rangers!
  11. Pure C.H.A.O.S.: The Rangers race to stop the Cryptid Clan's giant Dome of Destruction from destroying the town of Southwell, but while they succeed, they awaken a colossal war robot known as C.H.A.O.S. that will require a new Megazord to bring down.
  12. In The Middle of Nowhere: The Rangers are tricked into searching for the missing Hawk Prism on Hatchet Mountain, where a new Cryptid Elite plans to leave them trapped there before bringing down the mountain to take the Rangers with it. Kyle tries to convince his teammates to trust in his instinct-driven stragtegies in order to escape the mountain.
  13. Triple Threat, Part 1: While battling a Cryptid Elite, the Cryptid Clan abducts a human loner to turn into their own evil Trinimal Ranger. The Trinimal Ranger is then unleashed on the Digimal Rangers and easily decimates them.
  14. Triple Threat, Part 2: Upon finding out that the Trinimal Ranger is a brainwashed unwilling human, Bryce takes it on himself to break the Trinimal Ranger's spell.
  15. Three for One: Brad is beginning to have second thoughts about accepting to join the team, feeling incredible remorse over his actions under the Cryptid Clanā€™s control.
  16. Just The Two Of Us: In battle against a Cryptid Elite, Evan and Brad are shackled and trapped in an underground prison. Evan, whoā€™s a bit critical of Brad, must learn to settle his differences with his new teammate should they hope to escape.
  17. Looks Can Be Decieving: Brad fears he has been cursed by the Cryptid Clan as revenge against him when ordinary objects he touches begin to explode.
  18. The Creature Hunter - An intergalactic poacher named Vilroth lands on Earth in search of the Whale DigiZord. Meanwhile, the Rangers battle a Cryptid Elite.
  19. Making An Enemy - Vilroth is welcomed in by the Cryptid Clan, and they send him to torment the Red Ranger, which he does so by fooling with Bryceā€™s memories.
  20. Photo Op - The Rangers battle a Cryptid Elite who is trapping innocent humans in photos. Meanwhile, Vilroth chooses to leave the Cryptid Clan, but he also clues in Emphor about a secret regarding his home planet ā€“ that it was destroyed by Emperor Xenicon. An alliance forms between the two, with Emphor hoping to overthrow and destroy his former Emperor.
  21. Wedding Crashers - Kyle's friend Perry from the skate park is getting married, and he is to be the best man. When Vilroth and Emphor show up, the Rangers must rescue both Perry and his bride Alana from danger.
  22. Super Mega Mania - After a battle against a Cryptid Elite during their search for the Whale DigiZord, the Digimal Rangers meet another team of Rangers ā€“ the Super Mega Rangers, who agree to assist the newest team of Rangers in finding the DigiZord. Bryce learns the device to tame the Whale DigiZord, given to him by Finean, also grants him new Whale Mode powers. Meanwhile, Vilroth and Emphor conspire against them.
  23. A Whale Out Of Water - The Rangers have found the Whale DigiZord, but it is hostile towards both them and the duo of Vilroth and Emphor. Bryce must find a way to use the Whale Mode Blaster to tame the Whale DigiZord and have the mighty beast join their side.
  24. Vilroth's Last Stand - Vilroth unleashes a last-ditch effort to obtain the Whale DigiZord and takes Bryce hostage. He demands the Whale DigiZord from the other Rangers or else he will destroy their leader. Vilroth wonā€™t keep his promise and plans on destroying the other Rangers anyway. The Rangers brace for the final battle against one of their most dangerous adversaries.
  25. Step It Up - A dancing Cryptid Elite brainwashes four Rangers into becoming his "backup dancers". With only two Rangers left, Ava must go through the process of teaching Evan how to dance in order to counter Sambrawlā€™s rhythmic combat style.
  26. Double Trouble - Bryce gets a reading on his Animorpher indicating someone has bonded to the Hawk Prism. However, his plans on finding out who are put on hold when he and the team battle two Cryptid Elite brothers, both of which can revive their brother when he is destroyed.
  27. Taking Flight - Bryceā€™s brother Logan has saved his life, revealing he has bonded to the Hawk Prism and become the Orange Ranger! The reunion will have to wait, as the battle against the two newest Cryptid Elites is not over yet.
  28. A Bad Romance - Sasha falls for a young man named Reese, and a relationship blossoms between the two. Little does she know that her love interest is merely a trap set by Emphor. Meanwhile, the other Rangers battle a Cryptid Elite who is immobilizing humans with poisoned food.
  29. The Art of War - The Rangers battle a Cryptid Elite who can materialize anything he paints. Meanwhile, Emphor presents Emperor Xenicon with a stolen sample of data from the Whale DigiZord, hoping to butter up his Emperor before finally executing his plot to overthrow and destroy him.
  30. A Failed Betrayal - Having stolen Vilrothā€™s Memory Glove and seemingly leaving Emperor Xenicon none the wiser, Emphor attempts to destroy him and usurp the Cryptid Clan throne, but he fails. Worse yet, Emperor Xenicon absorbs the energy sample from the Whale DigiZord and takes on a new Evolved form. Much too strong for him to handle, the traitor Emphor has nothing to do but turn tail and run.
  31. Redemption Day - Emphor attempts to redeem himself despite being labeled a traitor, and goes on a rampage of destruction, hoping to please his former master and be given a second chance by trying to destroy the Rangers, who wonā€™t let him win the fight.
  32. Overload - Nytraxā€™s dormant Eternity Form is awakened by Emperor Xenicon, granting him an immense amount of power. He chooses to defect from the Cryptid Clan and destroy Earth himself, much to Emperor Xeniconā€™s frustration. The Rangers canā€™t seem to destroy him, but they must not give up the battle for Earth.
  33. Earth Endangered, Part 1 - Emperor Xenicon, now stronger than before, manages to break into and ravage the Animaster Temple, steal the Primal Prisms, and mortally wound the Animasters. With their mentors gone and the fate of the world in their hands, the Rangers brace for their final battle.
  34. Earth Endangered, Part 2 - The Rangers square off against the immensely powerful Emperor Xenicon; when they uncover some secrets of Xenicon's past mid-battle, Vyra turns on her former master only to be struck down by Xenicon, who then breaks the team's Morphers. Even without their powers, they won't give up the fight, as all organic life on Earth - and to an extent, all organic life in the universe - on the line.
