Power Rangers Crystal Fury is the 1st overall season of Power Rangers, serving as an adaptation of the 44th Super Sentai series Mashin Sentai Kiramager and is the first produced by Nathan10828. It is also the first installment of a rebooted continuity set outside of the Saban Power Rangers universe as established since Power Rangers Mighty Morphin.

The season follows a group of "warriors with a shinning spirit" recruited by Princess Esmeralda to fight the Othrys Empire, an evil army that once ravaged her planet.

Production

On May 11, 2023, a teenager/young-adult oriented reboot to the Saban Power Rangers universe was announced to be in development by Nathan10828, adapting the Reiwa period Sentai seasons for this new franchise. Therefore, Kiramager was chosen for its status as the first Super Sentai season of this era. The author revealed that Power Rangers Crystalizers (in reference to NicholsonD's Power Rangers fan opening) was a working title before Nathan10828 ultimately decided on Crystal Fury.

Plot

A princess from a land of jewelry and crystals comes to Earth in search of "civilians with a shining spirit": Julian, Lionel, Camille, Lance and Sarah, to make them into warriors to defend Earth from an evil army who once ravaged her homeworld. Granted the powers of crystals, they become the Crystal Fury Rangers.

Notes

• Being the first season of a new reboot franchise, Crystal Fury was initially supposed to have 40 episodes as opposed to 20, however the author reduced the number of episodes due to the limited time he had to devote to the series.
