Power Rangers Crystal Defenders is the fanfiction season of Power Rangers for 2021. It is based on Mashin Sentai Kiramager and is a continuation of Power Rangers Lost Galaxy.
Plot[]
25 years have passed since Terra Venture arrived on Mirinoi. In that time, the planet has become a thriving colony for humans, most of whom reside in the central city of Nova Arcadia. The human inhabitants and native Mirinoians coexist peacefully, and the planet is seen as a haven among the cosmos. However, that tranquility is shattered when the Velaxian Empire attacks, seeking to plunder the world for its resources and force the people into slavery.
The Velaxians strike swiftly, cutting off Mirinoi's contact with Earth, including the wormhole technology that allows for instant travel between worlds. Desperate to defend their new world, the former Galaxy Rangers rush to rertrieve the Quasar Sabers so that they can restore their Ranger powers. To their dismay the Velaxians act quicker, sealing away the ancient swords. But all hope is not lost. Anari, a survivor from a previous planet the Velaxians conquered, has come to Mirinoi with a weapon that will help them fight off the invaders - fragments of a Zeo Crystal. Bestowing the pieces to five willing warriors, a new generation of Power Rangers arises, ready to protect the people of Mirinoi as the Crystal Defenders.
