Power Rangers ALISA is a series created by Tokoyami no Nietzsche. It's themed after Alice in Wonderland, and a sequel to Synchro Bug starring former Synchro Bug Red Ranger Alisa. Elena Alice Fossi reprises her role as Alisa. This series is known for its massive lesbian fanservice, as all the Rangers are girls and a lot of them go into yuri couples.

Plot[]

The story stars the ALISA unit, a recently-formed division of Ranger spies affiliated with the Kuroboshi Special Force and led by Alisa Elena Kirliana and her girlfriend Francesca Sugita. Said division is only composed of girls who are united by a traumatic past and a desire to protect the world.

The ALISA unit protects the city of Fushigigorod, Siberia, from the criminal Die Jabberwocken Gang.

Alice and her sister Asia are two 18-year-old twins, without any memory of their parents, who have grown up as soldiers and have been part of the ALISA unit ever since its foundation: they're now testing the new Morpher called TwinPocketWatch, which allows them to fuse with each other.

Rangers[]

Alice Yamato: A girl whose father had been murdered by the Jabberwocken in a shootout when she was very young. She never knew anything about her father Soichiro Yamato's past as a criminal. She and her sister Asia were part of the ALISA unit since its foundation and are its youngest members, having grown up on the battlefield as a way to affirm themselves. Alice likes to write haiku, which often compare being a soldier to a "monstrous wonderland", as beautiful as it's weird. Through their TwinPocketWatch Morphers, explicitly designed with the two in mind, she and Asia can fuse with each other in a way similar to a Syntek fusion in Synchro Bug, however they can switch whoever is in control (the body of the one not in control is left abandoned on the ground)
Asia Yamato: Alice's apparent twin sister. Her real name is Katya Goranovna Dahmer, and she was taken by Soichiro Yamato of the Spades gang after a duel against Goran Dahmer.
Francesca Sugita: Alisa Kirliana's wife and the field leader of the ALISA Unit, as her wife is the supreme commander of said unit and often stays put acting as a mentor and a hacker. Francesca is a weapon researcher who helped develop the technology of the Morphers, however she decided herself to take a Morpher for herself and "badass upgrade" due to her admiration for Alisa, but also for her desire to protect Alice and Asia, as she sees herself and Alisa as their adoptive mothers.

Alisa Elena Kirliana: Supreme commander of the ALISA unit and Francesca's wife. She's actually a Syntek, a biomech body containing the virtualized soul of a deceased human, and sees Alice and Asia as adoptive daughters.

Allies[]

Gleb Inoue: Shiori's boyfriend. He's actually a former juvenile murderer who was freed by Lucian, who gave him a Zord but placed a bomb chip which will cause him to detonate if he betrays him, and given a Zord, however he wants a normal life and, fully aware that Shiori is an ALISA Ranger, decides to start a relationship with her, trying to warn her that he has a bomb inside his body.
Pavel Kurosawa
Boy who Likes Black Metal: A former Synchro Bug Ranger, and now one of the elite division of the Kuroboshi Special Force. He's only in Fushigigorod once, as a guest, completely weaponless, to watch a black metal idol concert in the city. Alice talks to him in NERO Club while he's headbanging. He's only known as "Boy who Likes Black Metal" .

Villains[]

Die Jabberwocken: a gang of criminals sowing terror in the city of Fushigigorod.
- Bandersnatch Five: Four evil Rangers who command the Die Jabberwocken, they can merge into the Bandersnatch Megazord. Their Bandersnatch Megazord is at first much stronger than the Wonderland Megazord, so the ALISA rangers have to run away from it and can only take it out when Alisa joins the megazord.
  - Snark/Lucian Carroll: Originally a soldier with a pig-shaped helmet wielding the heavy Vorpal sword. He's actually an agent from the Atlantic Federation's Special Intelligence Division who had armed the Jabberwocken as a way to destabilize Shin Rossiya. His true objective is to kill Alisa. He was the one who gave Zords to the Bandersnatch group. His color is pink, he controls the pig-like Rath Zord, and he can control the Bandersnatch Megazord alone.
  - Snowdrop Kitty/Asia Soichirovna Yamato (real): The real twin sister of Alice. Dahmer kidnapped her as revenge for the loss of his daughter Katya and then warped her mind to the point of driving her insane. She wears fake cat ears on her head and is a sadist. She's actually much more intelligent than she appears, she envies Katya Dahmer and plans to double cross both Goran and Lucian. Her color is white and black and she controls the dual zords Tweedledee Zord (white) and Tweedledum Zord (black), which can fuse in the TweedleMegazord.
  - Humpty Dumpty/Gleb Vissarionovich Inoue: Another criminal, guilty of having shot his father Vissarion Inoue (who he had found had a massive gambling addiction) and then gone on a killing spree in a casino. He got bailed out from jail by Lucian and became part of the Die Jabberwocken after Lucian put a bomb inside Gleb's body. He had undergone psychiatric rehab and doesn't want to return to a life of crime, so he actually falls in love with Shiori and occasionally gives her subtle hints that he wants to be on her side but can't due to the bomb. His color is green and he controls the badger-like Tove Zord
  - Jubjub/Maksim Shintarovich Sato: Goran's best friend, sworn bodyguard and original companion in Jabberwocky, who decided to follow him in his revenge quest, originally eager to fight but then more and more disillusioned as the Jabberwocken became much worse than the Spades. He's complicit in Dahmer's crimes because he secretly harbors a lesbian crush for him, which Goran does not notice. His sense of honor makes him disgusted at what the Jabberwocken have become, but he can't bring himself to betray Goran because he wants to die alongside him. He was the one who had murdered Soichiro Yamato, which is why he prays for Alice to kill him. His color is blue, and he wears a bird-like helmet. He has the bird-like Borogove Zord.
  - Jabberwock the Frumious/Goran Teruovich Dahmer: Apparent leader of Die Jabberwocken, originally a street criminal who murdered young girls, who was almost executed until Lucian exploited the crisis the Shin Rossiyan army's was facing due to the Lucifer System's awakening in order to bail him out and put him in control of a gang. Before starting his life of crime, Goran was an idol in an R-Pop (basically J-pop sung in Russian) duo called Jabberwocky, with a relatively normal life until the gang known as the Spades, led by Soichiro Yamato, attacked him and his best friend Maksim. Soichiro murdered Goran's wife Naoko and took his daughter Katya for himself, which caused Goran to want revenge and as such turn his fanbase into a violent gang: the Jabberwocken beat the Spades, Maksim killed Soichiro and Goran kidnapped Asia, believing he could no longer bring himself to reveal to Katya he was her real father but instead wanting to traumatize Asia enough that Soichiro could pay for what he had done to Katya. His color is red and he uses the dragon-like Jabberwock Zord.

Notes[]

Asia Yamato's name is written in Kanji as "Japan Japan" (Asia and Yamato are two words that mean "Japan").
Fushigigorod is Ainu for "Wonderland" as in "Alice in Wonderland", being a compound of the Japanese word for "bizarre" (Fushigi) and the Russian word for "city" (Gorod). However, Ainu is not spoken in Siberia.
The series has been ironically nicknamed "Armed Lesbians Invade the Sentai Action" due to how all of the rangers are female and how Shiori is the only one with a boyfriend while the rest of them all have more ship tease with each other than with boys.
