Pontifex is the spokesman of the Emoneytion Army in Power Rangers Dino Charge.
Biography[]
Pontifex is the current leader of the Emoneytion Army, one of Emoneytion Tree's oldest creations and has overseen the destruction of previous planets alongside his younger brother Avian. However, when Avian betrayed their creator when they were attacking Earth, Pontifex vowed revenge while purposely leaving the injury that his brother inflicted on him unregenerated as a constant reminder of his hatred for the traitor. Pontifex was active during the Celtic Ireland era and masterminded Patrick's capture to take control of Gold PteraZord. Thawing out his followers in the present, Pontifex seeks to revive Emoneytion Tree and wipe out the human race as they did with the dinosaurs millions of years ago. Though his plan to use Gold PteraZord fails, Pontifex begins preparing for Emoneytion Tree's revival and completes it when Purple PlesioZord returns to Earth. Though inside Emoneytion Tree at the moment of his explosion, Pontifex survived after Emoneytion Tree transferred his heart into his hand. Thanks in part to Luckeuro's attempted revenge, Pontifex creates Grudgeta to counter the Dino Charge Rangers while exposing Avian's former ties to the Emoneytion Army. After his attempt to open a portal to Emoneytion Hell, a weakened Pontifex takes his leave while placing Wrand in charge during his absence. Later returning once enough rage is gathered, revealing to have known of Wrand's treachery upon Grudgeta's return, Pontifex creates two new agents to amass enough sadness and joy for Emoneytion Master's revival to begin. Pontifex allows Emoneytion Master to briefly control his body as Emoneytion Pontifex attacks, until they return to the Frozen Manor where his creator's heart merges back into his body. Pontifex leads the final attack against the Dino Charge Rangers with his fellow commanders, overpowering Cyan, Gray, Purple, and Silver Dino Charge Rangers until allowing Anthony to destroy him so he can protect the pillar holding Emoneytion Hell in place. However, with the Dino Charge Rangers' melody affecting him, Pontifex is knocked into the pillar by the spirits and Joyra as his death destroys the pillar.

Pontifex's Ranger Key
The Pontifex Ranger Key is a Dino Charge Ranger Key released as part of a set of Emoneytion Edition Ranger Keys. It is unknown if it will appear in a future crossover. Of course as with all Ranger Keys, should it exist, it would be able to transform one, into Pontifex.
