Phears are the monsters created by Shoelien (in Chivalry Force), or the Doctors: Asheera, Axel, Kareem, Drokar and Sarapis (in Shining Spirits).

Shoelien's fears require a mortal to be contracted via ingesting his slime. In Shining Spirits, they are upgraded grunts with special head armaments placed on the,.

A few Phears never came into existence, but were used in special sequences (the girls trials in Chivalry Force, and the Halloween Special for Shining Spirits)

The Phears from episode 4, 5, and 8-9 of Shining Spirits were mutated in some form causing a giant (and sometimes, more grotesque) version of the monster. This was phased out when the Darkness Beasts debuted.

Hybrid Phears[]

False Phears[]

These Phears initially only appeared outside of reality.

Chivalry Force (CF27)[]

These Phears only appeared in Varyn's trials and are called False Phears as they never came into existence.

  • Spider Phear (unused otherwise most likely due to being in a school plot episode)
  • Troll Phear (unused till now due to the comedic megazord fight footage)

Shining Spirits (SS32)[]

Dubbed the "Seven Deadly Sins" by the episode title, these Phears had been previously unused until their debut. This includes their creations Riddle Phear and Scalrab and the following previously unused monsters in order of appearance:

  • Franken Phear (Gnome Minosaur from Ryusoulger. Unused in Chivalry Force due to its ability to launch rockets)
  • Cavity Phear (Tooth Decay Jamen. Unused otherwise due to a duel between Silver and Moonsault's first form, which fit the Sentai characters more-as well as work on the Kaname Stones)
  • Marshmallow Phear (Marshmallow Jamen. Unused otherwise due to him praying on older woman and Japanese traditions)
  • Feline Phear (Maneki-neko Jamen. Unused otherwise because it simply didn't fit any of the generals monster themes)
    • It is also the only Phear not created by Doctor Axel to posses a second form-being an actual cat
  • Wack-A-Mole Phear (Whac-A-Mole Jamen. Unused until now due to the connection to the Kaneme Stones-which were not adapted into Shining Spirits and the game motif would better fit the type of episode its appears in)

Order of the Dark Mirror[]

A non-cannon alternate ending based off the Sentai team-up of the Chivalry Force and Ranger Braves' counterparts. A Phear made by Shoelien by a creation of Asheera's appears.

  • Camera Phear II
  • Director Phear

Notes[]

  • The following changes were made to adapting Minosaurs:
    • Charybdis Minosaur was adapted as Water Tower Phear in episode 10 of Shining Spirits
    • Satan Minosaur was adapted as Drokar in Shining Spirits
    • Poltergeist Minosaur was used as an upgrade of Sumikae Jamen, with both being used for House/LARP Phear in episode 31 of Chivalry Force
    • Gnome Minosaur was adapted as Franken Phear, the first of the Seven Deadly Sins to appear in the titular episode
    • Dullahan Minosaur was adapted as Legend Phear, which came into being on accident in Shining Spirits' episode 33
    • Footage of Dragon Minosaur/Minosaur Complete Body was used to talk about Space Dragons, but was not fought until Kamen Rider Literary Guardians as one of the artifacts Marryvillia had stored beneath Denver Airport
  • The Gaia Core is considered a separate entity from the Phears
    • The first embedded within Core Phear
    • The second was corrupted by Asheera and embedded within Gai
    • The third was discovered by the rangers while trying to find what would end up being the Titan Zord
  • Each grouping of have a similar concept:
    • Shoelien's are often based off mythical creatures, although this is usually different than the sentai (Valravn Phear, Tree Phear, Hydra Phear) or moot entirely (Birthday Phear, Elephant Phear, Megalodon Phear)
    • Most of Kareem's end up having a recreation motif
      • The exceptions were originally Jamen Beasts
    • Axel's are objects (Magnet, Oven [Kiln in PR], Fridge [Cooler in PR], glue), with time travel being the exception
    • Asheera's are STEAM-based (technology, as well as the humanities)
    • Drokar and Sarapis' are initially more industrial-based (Water Tower, train), although they continue down the path Axel went (Twin and Riddle being concepts, Safe & Super Glue as objects)
  • Mannequin Jamen only appears in comic Drag Star Dragster, but the mannequin part still appears as a prop in mansion
  • Tyto Phear is exclusive to the comics and is an original creation
  • When a Phear successfully kills a mortal host, both are wiped from existence akin to a Thanos Snap, as seen in What If?
