He's childhood friends with Olivia and Harry, he used to believe that he was a jinx but unlocking the powers of Leo, he received the luck of the universe, he can be naive but he looks out for his friends. He grows a strong friendship with Elena. Just like Draco, Mateo has a positive attitude and serious when he has to be. He's a positive thinker with his strong will and is able to turn his problem into chances and doesnt stop until he helped someone in need. He can get excitable but unlike his sentai counter, Razir mentions that he can be strict, he likes to believe in others and not give up on them or his dreams which is always mocked by Olivia. He trusts Elena the most. He takes his duty as a police officer seriously. He is bisexual since he gains crushes on two of his teammates Elena Mclain, later Gabe Meadows before falling in love with Brenda Aihara despite her being a game avatar.
