Living the Party, Pegasus Style is the eighth episode of Power Rangers Universe. It features the debut of Horsie, the Horsie Sector Key, Cereberos and Octiqua, as well as Star Battleforce Red's Horsie Armor.
Synopsis[]
As Star Battleforce begins a drive to raise awareness on Earth of the rangers' campaign to stop the Arekyan invasion, Arthur obtains a mysterious that grants him a special armor. However, he fails to control it and the team takes part in a rather unusual training routine to help him master it as they encounter two powerful Arkeyan assassins.
Plot[]
At Xibalba, Gazla introduces the two assassins that he has sought out to His Magnificence; they are Cereberos and Octiqua, and as it turns out, they were the assassins who carried out Supreme Commander Mor-La's execution. On the Destiny, Moose is showing Dimitri across the station, including at the promenade, where the Saint Denis duo is spreading awareness about the Ranger Series Program. Bronzee is holding a poster and spins it around, but drops it, and Florian picks it up and above is head and he too drops it. Moose arrives on the bridge, showing it to Dimitri, where Ryan and Joi are reporting to the others about their examination of the "Two Minutes Hate" film, and have identified two assassins, and have now joined His Magnificence's ranks reporting to Gazla. Colonel Xiao speculates that His Magnificence is attempting to fortify his armies by the minute, and is doing so by recruiting as many authority as possible. This immediately catches Dimitri's attention, and suggests that he goes alone and strike pre-emptively. Arthur teases Dimitri, noting that he still has some traits of a lone wolf after all. Megan immediately calls Dimitri out for his decision, stating that they are a team, but Dimitri retorts by claiming that prior to Roboto Epee's incursion, he found more intel that the rangers will not know until now. With that, Colonel Xiao allows Dimitri to hunt down the assassins and strike them pre-emptively.
With Dimitri going to search for the assasains, Russell then tells the group now that they have Earth's backing, a full Arkeyan awareness campaign has been launched by S.B.F to raise awareness among parts of the world that have rebuilt following the Arkeyan invasion. The campaign hopes to have survivors recognise the signs of an Arkeyan attack, especially since world governments and economies have substantially recovered in the weeks since the program was initiated. On that note, Colonel Xiao brings out the Ranger Lottery, which selects Arthur, Ryan, Megan, Wild Bill and Bronzee, whom he tasks with promoting the Arkeyan Awareness Campaign on Earth, while Joi reveals that another commandant, classified as Dagi Long-Necks, reigns over the area where the promotion event has been secured. The five of them head to a rebuilt city on Earth; Arthur is surprised that life on Earth has managed to rebuild by this much, as he and Megan talk about how the economies on Earth were able to recover, more notably in the United States, in the face of Arkeyan occupation. While Ryan helps Bronzee and Bill set up shop, he notices some Roswells nearby, accompanied by Long-Necks. To this end, Ryan, Arthur and Megan morph and take on the Roswells, while Bill and Bronzee morph also amid a struggle with Long-Necks. Long-Necks outsmarts them both, so Arthur lends them a hand. Back on the bridge, Moose gets out one of the Sector Keys he and Bill found on Lupaxia, which Russell identifies as the ironically named Horsie Sector Key, which contains the aptly-named sentient armor known as Horsie, according to research. He eavesdrops it to Arthur, who uses it, only to have a big Pegasus chest plate appear on him, which speaks and controls his movement; the armor introduces himself as Horsie, and forcibly controls Arthur, wiping out the horde of Roswells.
Long-Necks then escapes after Horsie causes more trouble, after which Arthur demorphs, but Horsie remains on his person. Arthur attempts to justify this as an order from Russell that got out of hand, only for Horsie to interject, and speaking in a posh voice, greets and bemoans the rangers, making unfunny jokes about them; Ryan, however, seems rather intrigued, as this comes from a Sector unexplored by other races. Back on the Destiny, Arthur is dragged constantly across the bridge by Horsie, while Colonel Xiao tells the story of how they met, and fought together against the Arkeyans, defeating a monster on Planet Ducat together. Horsie then chimes in, claiming that over 100 people have worn him as body armor. Things get to a head when Florian, seeing Arthur "fly" through Horsie, grabs onto Arthur's leg, as does Bronzee, only fall down and drop onto the bridge's computer. Moose notices that Horsie has a flair for dancing, so he suggests that as part of the awareness program, they should invite survivors to a dance class. On Earth - namely in the same city occupied by Long-Necks, Colonel Xiao greets survivors and gives them a pep-talk just as Horsie interrupts it. After preparations are made, the dance class starts off a mess as Joi and Colonel Xiao watches, as Russell is filming it on his tablet, and is irate about how the proceeding are unfolding. Elsewhere, Octiqua and Cereberos are searching for any Star Battleforce Rangers, before they are alarmed by a certain harmonica - Dimitri has shown up, and suspects them as the two assasains. He morphs and fights Octiqua and Cereberos, but the duo is too powerful, and the fight ends in a stalemate. Back at dance class, Arthur has trouble controlling the excitable Horsie. Ryan and Wild Bill think this is all pointless, so they leave, much to Florian's dismay.
Later that night, Megan and Ryan are thinking about who is the real leader among the nine rangers; as Ryan states that all Arthur has done since joining the program was try to act like a leader, even though he is still relatively new. On top of this, he finds that all Arkeyan business has ceased for the day, and the next attempt to re-occupy will begin in the morning, and the Arkeyans have made considerable gains. Megan, however, points out there may be a reason that Colonel Xiao saw Arthur as the Red Ranger, as he had enough potential to improve as the the program goes on. Bill, listening in, claims he can sense Arthur is new to millitary-related business, and the inexperience he has as a leader is evident when he led that dance session, only for Megan to say it was Horsie's fault, not Arthur's Colonel Xiao walks in and says Ryanās got the wrong idea about Arthur. He brings the three to the gym to show them Arthurās still dancing with Horsie. Colonel Xiao claims that he chose Arthur because he had potential to become a success despite being relatively new, but itās because of his positivity that brings him his good fortune. He points out that both Megan and Bill thought the dancing was pointless, but they gave up on any possibility of it being the breakthrough they need for good teamwork. With that, the trio decides to follow Arthur's lead, even though Horsie remains out of control. The next day, Long-Necks resumes his attacks, moments before Arthur (with Horsie), along with Ryan, Megan, Bill and Bronzee, head down to face Long-Necks, as Horsie leads the way by attacking the commandant with dance moves, which the five of them use to hold of the Roswell horde. Back on the Destiny's bridge, the others watch as Horsie's arrhythmic fighting style is no match for the Arkeyan aggressors; even Moose and Florian find it funny.
After a chaotic fight, Arthur manages to assume control, and he and the others perform an All-Star Impact Horsie Strike to finish off Long-Necks. Infuriated, Long-Necks hops into his A-Drone, prompting the rangers to summon their Voyagers, forming the Voyager Squad Megazord. Amid the battle, Ryan falters momentarily, as Arthur swaps out the Leo Sector Key on the Megazord's chest for the Horsie Sector Key, which allows it to perform a Universal Horsie Slash to finish off Long-Necks and his A-Drone for good. In the aftermath, as Dimitri returns to confirm what he knows about the two assassins, Russell is able to remove Horsie from Arthur, which allows Horsie back into his Sector Key. He tells him that, while they know how to tame Horsie, he can spring into action at any moment, as his Sector Key is more unique than the others they have found by far. Arthur jokingly notes that if Florian ever wanted to do aerobics in style, maybe Horsie could be his answer. Across the bridge, Joi reports to Ryan, Megan, Bronzee, Florian, Bill, and Moose that the awareness program is running smoothly now that another part of Earth has been liberated, and S.B.F. officers have been providing more activities to survivors to educate them about the Ranger Program. Moose, hearing this, suggests they start dance classes in the training room, which Megan thinks is a good idea judging by their encounter with Horsie. Ryan, however, appears to still be troubled after the battle, presumably by his experiences watching the "Two Minutes Hate" film.
