The Legendary Ranger Keys, also referred to as Ranger Keys or simply Keys, are what the Space Pirates Rangers use to morph into their Legendary Mode. Legendary Mode allows the Rangers to morph into any of the Rangers that have preceded them. These Keys are activated through the Space Pirates Rangers' Legendary Morpher. Most of the Legendary Ranger Keys line the Command Center's interior walls. Often, Troy recalls his Mega War dream whenever he sees the keys up close.
Overview[]
Normally stored in the Command Center, or in a buckle, the Legendary Ranger Keys fold to form a key which can allow the user to become a Space Pirate Ranger or access the powers of one of the previous Legendary Rangers by using it on the Legendary Morpher. By using it on the weapons it can activate a finisher attack. Silas can summon manifestations of Sixth Rangers and Ranger-like allies by putting the keys in his magic trumpet and playing it. Though the Ranger Keys are kept in the chest on the Command Center, the Space Pirate Rangers can use them on Earth thanks to a link in their bucklers set-up by Tensou, in which a copy of the desired key will appear when needed by teleporting from the Command Center.
While the Space Pirates Rangers primarily transform into a previous Rangers of their color, they can use a Ranger Key of any color.
When their representative color was not on on the previous team, the Space Pirates Rangers can transform into the closest analog. For example, if the Space Pirates Rangers were to transform into the Wild Force Rangers, Space Pirate Green would transform into Black Wild Force Ranger and Space Pirate Pink would transform into White Wild Force Ranger.
If the gender of is different from the orginal, the Space Pirate Ranger's transformed suit will match the style used by their gender. For example, when Space Pirate Blue and Space Pirate Yellow transform into Blue Mystic Ranger and Yellow Mystic Ranger in episode 1, the Blue Mystic Ranger suit is in the male Mystic Ranger style and the Yellow Mystic Ranger suit in the female style. However, teams like the SPD Rangers did not feature any real difference on the suits between the Rangers, since there is no gender difference design from that team.
If the original gender is female who does not wear a skirt, the transformed Space Pirate Ranger costume will match the style used by their gender. For example, when Space Pirate Yellow transform into Mighty Morphin Yellow Ranger in the same episode, the Yellow Ranger suit gets a skirt that wasn't originally present.
The Ranger Keys are also compatible with the control helms for the Legendary Megazord and the Q-Rex Megazord, allowing the two Megazords to gain access to an unlocked Zaferia Stone power through the Legendary Ranger Keys.
The Keys can also activate a Ranger's Enhancement Modes if they had one. Legendary Battle The only exception to this was Armored Red Ranger, as Orion, as Mighty Morphin Green Ranger, had to give Ewan the Dragon Shield the same way Tommy did to Jasn. The Wrath
History[]
Legendary Ranger Keys are mysterious special items which present in the Command Center. With the help of Green Morphin Master, Gosei retrieved them from the Morphin Grid and placed them on the walls of the Command Center. During the Mega Rangers' fight against their enemies, Gosei, with the help of Tensou, created the Space Pirates Legendary Ranger Keys so that a new team could use them in the event of a threat worse than Warstar, the Toxic Beasts and/or Robots would arrive. Space Pirate Silver's Legendary Ranger Key was created by Green Morphin Master, who sent it Andresia.
However, it was revealed that Silas was able to create copies of keys identical to those of the original Sixth Rangers. These keys were later destroyed by the Space Pirate Rangers, but Silas revealed that he also had copies of the keys from the Extra Rangers and Ranger-like allies. Once again, these keys were then destroyed by the Space Pirate Rangers.
Gosei revealed that to defeat the Armada, the full power of the keys of all the Legendary Rangers must be unlocked.

The Space Pirates Keys folded.
These keys are the main Ranger Keys used by the Space Pirates Rangers. They can also be used in the Legendary Megazord to execute the Pirate Final Strike finisher. When these keys are used along with the Space Pirate Silver Key, they summon the Ultimate Engine Cell, allowing the Legendary Megazord, the Q-Rex Megazord, and the Turbo Falcon Zord to combine into Ultimate Legendary Ultrazord.

Combined Ranger Keys[]
Orion has the ability to combine multiple keys into one. He's been shown to combine two keys into one as well as fifteen keys into a super mode key, the Anchor Key.
Ranger Gold/Ranger Silver Ranger Key
- Ranger Gold/Ranger Silver Key: Combined form of the Ranger Gold and Ranger Silver Keys when Orion couldn't decide which Key to use.
Gold Key
- Gold Key: After Orion somehow fused the keys of Ranger Silver and Ranger Gold, Jack would later suggest that he do the same with all 15 Sixth Ranger keys. After Orion pleaded for it, all the Sixth Rangers banded together to form the Space Pirate Gold Key, a key shaped like an Anchor with the official fifteen Sixth Rangers' helmet faces on it (notably excluding the Titanium Ranger). Orion normally uses his Ranger Keys by placing them inside his Legendary Silver Morpher and then scanning them, but due to its size, the Gold Key is instead inserted in a slot in the bottom of the Legendary Silver Morpher. He can morph into Space Pirate Gold by shouting the call of "Space Pirate Gold!"
- When activated, it forms an armor similar to the key around his chest and the spikes of the "anchor" serve as thigh armor. His helmet is pushed down (eliminating the yellow part of his visor, thus making the visor all-black) and the Super Silver Spear changes to Anchor Mode. In this form, he gains an increase in both speed and strength and is able to use a third variant of his Pirate Final Strike, called Legendary Final Strike.
- By inserting the Space Pirate Silver Key into and swinging the Pirate Spear, Orion summons the heads of the official fifteen Sixth Rangers with a flash of their personal symbols. First the Silver Space Ranger, the Lunar Wolf Ranger, the Solaris Knight, the Mercury Ranger, Ranger Gold, Ranger Silver and Robo Knight appear to use their weapons in gun mode (Solaris Knight's sole weapon in any case) to fire at the enemy to form the next line of Rangers. The blast forms into Mighty Morphin Green Ranger, the White Squadron Ranger, the Gold Ranger, the Quantum Ranger, the Green Samurai Ranger, the White Dino Ranger, the Omega Ranger and the Gold Samurai Ranger, and they slash at the enemy (or in the Omega Ranger's case, punch, due to him not having any weapons unless his Morpher counts as a weapon), and Orion himself performs the final attack by slashing the enemy with the Super Silver Spear.
Notes[]
- Originally, maquettes lined the Command Center in the show instead of keys, and were larger and lacked hinges.
- Some keys for Sentai-only Rangers are seen being used in Space Pirates despite the result being a different Ranger, which is due to the lack of proper editing from said Gokaiger footage.
