The Legendary Ranger Gears, or Ranger Gears, are the collectible item of the Grid Masters Rangers based on previous Power Rangers installments.

Overview[]

Ranger Gears[]

The Legendary Ranger Gears were created by the scientist Nathan. Inspired by the previous 24 Power Rangers in the world, he made the Legendary Ranger Gears in their image, alongside the Grid Morphers to help protect their own world should the time come.

Normally stored in a Grid Buckle, the Ranger Gears allow the user to become a Grid Ranger or access the powers of one of the previous 24 Rangers team by using it on the Grid Morpher. By using it on the weapons it can activate many attacks.

Aside from the Grid Masters Gears, the other Ranger Gears are not specific to any of the five Grid Rangers. Unlike the Legendary Ranger Keys, the Gears of ancient Rangers team represent the entire core team; thus, when a Ranger uses one of these Gears, they can only change into their corresponding color.

Generally, when a core Ranger uses a Ranger Gear, they are summoning and using the powers of the "core" Rangers on that team. Typically, the core Grid Masters Rangers will gain the powers of previous Rangers of their respective colors or their closest analogue, with the exception of Grid Master Ranger, who usually gains the powers of Red Rangers, and Grid Dino Ranger, who usually gains the powers of the Green or Black Rangers.

However, if a team has fewer members than the main five (such as the Grid Battleforce Rangers), the missing Rangers will not be able to transform into that team.

Additionally, if the gender is different from the original, the transformed Grid Ranger costume will change the gender of the Ranger it transforms into, such as when Grid Dino Ranger transformed into Ninja Steel White in Day of the Grid, the Ninja Steel White costume no longer has a skirt on the costume. However, one team (SPD Rangers) had no real difference in combinations between the Rangers, since there is no design difference between the genders of that team.

Dark Legendary Ranger Gears[]

The Dark Legendary Ranger Gears, alternatively referred to as the Dark Gears or Dark Ranger Gear by Ijirude, are the evil counterparts of the Legendary Ranger Gears. They are used by Silas to summon the manifestations of past Ranger teams and/or Megazords to fight against the Grid Masters Rangers. These gears are identical to the Ranger Gears, with their rims colored purple and the ranger image colored white.

Much like the core Grid Rangers, Chaos Ranger summons the core Rangers or primary Zord of a team. He can also summon additional Rangers if he wishes. After the upgrade of Ijirude, Chaos Ranger can now summon past Rangers in their power-up forms, usually one Ranger per Gear.

The Dragon Rex Gear is a special gear created by Zador that is used by him & Grid Master Ranger to transform into their Super forms. Chomping with the mouth in Ranger Gear Mode once allows them to become giant.

The Dragon Rex Gear's Dino Mode is based on the Quantasaurus Rex, while its Ranger Gear Mode is modeled directly after the Dragonzord's head.
