King Soarin is the King of Crystalia Kingdom who led the Ancient Crystal Fury Rangers some years ago as the first Crystal Fury Red Ranger. He is the husband of the late Queen Diamonda, the biological father of Princess Esmeralda, the adoptive father of Christian, and the older brother of Artemis.
History[]
Early Life[]

Young brothers Soarin & Artemis' drawings
Soarin, at a early age, used to be close with his brother Artemis. Soarin was crowned King years before Othrys Empire invaded, though his powers and abilities were lower than Artemis', a factor that his brother thought made him less worthy of being king.
Thirty years ago before the downfall, Soarin visited Earth and befriended a human named Mick Kanic. Both Soarin and Mick went treasure hunting in their expedition during that time. When an unearthed Monstone attacked a poor boy lost and abandoned in the woods, Soarin rushed toward this young boy and took him to Crystalia, where he implanted a silver Crystal Gem within him to enhance his body and to be able to protect himself from any type of danger. Soarin adopted Christian, naming it thus, as his son.
Crystalia War[]
With the forces of evil approaching Crystalia, he decided to use the Crystal Gems founded on their land in order to expand Crystalia's defenses. To do this, he also recruited his adopted son, Apollo, so that he could join the warriors at their rank. When they were asked how they could fight the Empire if they were gigantic, the Morphin Masters appear before them and offer their help by connecting them to the Morphin Grid, allowing them to become Power Rangers. In the end, despite his best efforts, his kingdom ended up being invaded by the Empire and the majority of Soarin's teammates perished in the war, while Apollo got split from them after his battlle against his uncle and was thought to be dead as well, thus leaving both Soarin on his own which led Soarin to take the Crystal Gems of the other perished members in order to hide them behind his throne and prevent them from being robbed by the empire.
Ultimately, Artemis' negative side took over and he helped the Othrys Empire invade Crystalia, killing Soarin doing so. Soarin attempted to use a Crystalian technique to transfer his consciousness to a new crystal, but the price to pay was to leave his soul in limbo for several months.

Personality[]
Soarin is a wise and calm father; a family man who cares deeply for his daughter, and is willing to defend his home at any cost. Despite this, he still has a friendly side, and often plays with his daughter whenever he can. He is also selfless, and often refuses the chance to rest so he can help others.
Much like Julian, Soarin has a passion for art, though compared to Julian, his drawings come out with a more photographic quality.
