"Gilgamesh, what took you 1,600 years to bring me back."
―Khronos first words after being revived into his Original form[src]

"Silence! I'm gonna do what I should have done when i still had the chance. Now Gilgamesh, you now belong to me!"
―Khronos prior to and during his absorption of Gilgamesh[src]

Kronos is one of the two main antagonists of Power Rangers Avalonia alongside Gilgamesh. He was the founder and true ruler of the Pendragon Empire.

History[]

Background[]

Death[]

Personality[]

Khronos is a sadistic and merciless entity who has shown no mercy in commanding his forces to mercilessly slaughter and destroy anyone and everything that stands in his way. Motivated by the dishonor he faced when Arthur destroyed him in single combat, he constantly fights the Rangers in an attempt to avenge said honor. However his ultimate goal is to conquer humanity and use them as slaves. He perceives each soldier sacrificed as a necessary price to pay and shows no remorse in their deaths.

When revived in his new "Galactic King" body, Khronos becomes a playful yet sadistic entity who would constantly beat his subordinates and even execute them. He views every person or thing as a tool to gain power and does not care that many in the Pendragon Empire consider him unfit to rule. His playful nature also extends to outright acting like a child several times throughout the shows second season.

Khronos also dislikes failures from his subordinates, tying them up in webbing if they fail him, with the next failure, taking the place of whoever failed before them. He also may step on them with both his feet planted on them, seemingly for fun.

Ironically, Khronos himself is also very vulnerable of being tricked as he prefers to have his deranged way of fun over anything else. As shown when the Rangers tricked him by pretending to split apart after, only to be streamed LIVE over Earth while gloating about his victory. After realizing this ploy, Khronos throws a tantrum by exclaiming their action as boring, and proceeds to send them to the Dino Charge dimension as a result.

In his God form, Khronos becomes even more unstable as a result of his two personality's incomplete merger. This causes him to lash out at anyone without warning. Hes shown however to regret his power hungry nature to an extent but this was eventually overpowered by his incomplete personality.

    • Cosmic Manipulation: The Galactic King elaborated that the entire universe was now his personal space which he could freely manipulate however he wants. A meteor to him is just a pebble that he could pick and throw effortlessly to cause massive damage.
    • Invulnerability: Khronos was completely unfazed by the relentless attacks from both King Avalonia Red and the Avalonia White Ranger and emerged unscathed after taking their finishers head-on, even after the Rangers unlocked their Fangs of Destruction.

Weaknesses[]

  • His Own Powers: By Khronos' own admission, the power to kill immortals is the only thing that could truly damage and kill him. As such, when Gilgamesh strikes Khronos down using the same power the latter imbued, Khronos suffered heavy damage for the first time in his new body. Later on, despite Khronos attempt to kill the renegade king, Artoria succeeded in wielding the Preda Breaker and struck Khronos down with Gilgamesh's help, defeating him. Since Lucas had successfully copied this power to each Ranger's Avalon Calibur and Tarantula Dagger, Khronos can now be damaged properly.

Arsenal[]

  • Paradox Sword: Khronos wields amoeba-styled short swords he can summon and use for combat in a playful manner.
