Jared Seymour is the Blue Gemstone Ranger of Power Rangers Gemstone.
Character History[]
Growing up, Jared's family moved around a lot due to his parents and their everchanging careers. As a result, Jared has had to be the new kid at many different schools and has been subjected to lots of bullying and teasing from the other students at the schools he attended. The bullying was not the only thing affecting him, it was constantly having to meet new friends, but ultimately parting ways with them after forming emotional bonds that truly became a detriment to his mental health. Although his older brother was there for him to be emotional, Jared always felt awkward trying to convey his emotions, even to his family members, causing him to keep them to himself.
Overtime, Jared developed a very eccentric personality when he started participating in theater classes at his fourth high school, in his junior year, and when he joined the Crystal Peaks Ranger Academy, Gemcore University. Here, he felt as though he could finally express his true emotions by creating two personas; one on stage and the other off stage, while not being a victim of being made fun of for showing his sensitive side because people saw his on stage persona as nothing more but an act and not truly him being in touch with his emotions.
As his presence on stage began to garner a lot of attention, Jared's popularity status quickly rose and ultimately caused him to become the most popular male student at the university. The faculty and higher ups of the academy noticed this and closely monitored his success in hopes of selecting him to become part of the next team of Power Rangers.
Personality[]
Contrary to his loud and electrifying roles on stage, Jared is a humble and mostly quiet person. Compared to the other Rangers, he appears to be devoid of emotion, barely expressing his feelings near the others. This is highly due to the bullying and teasing he endured when he was growing up, causing him to retreat and become reserved. Sometimes, due to his reserved nature, it can cause him to bottle up his emotions and let them out at some of the worst times if he is pushed over the line.
However, this rather emotionless and stoic personality is nothing but a façade, where in truth, he puts this front up in order to seem strong and masculine, so no one sees his more vulnerable side. Although due to his interactions with the Rangers, his more vulnerable side slowly seeps out, resulting in being on the receiving end of light and playful teasing, to which he finds amusing at times. Jared proves himself to be quite a lady's man and a skilled detective, quickly picking up and piecing clues while swooning women with his charm, even managing to, at times, sway Ava Paige, the Pink Gemstone Ranger.

Using the Crystal Changer, Jared can access his Gemstone Form by pressing on the red button that symbolizes a Ranger Helmet and then spins the "tire" to transform into his Gemstone Form allowing him to become Gemstone Blue. In this form, he has access to individual weapons and zords that he can use in battle against the Pollution Empire and their Sludge Lords.

Using the Phoenix Fire Bow, Jared and/or his teammates can access this powerful Gemstone Form by pressing on the red button that symbolizes a Super Ranger Form and then firing the arrow to transform into his Phoenix Fire Form allowing him to become Phoenix Fire Gemstone Blue. In this form he has access to the Phoenix Fire Bow and a zord that he can use in battle against the Pollution Empire and their Sludge Lords. However, this form can only last about 100 seconds (1 minute and 40 seconds) for the remainder of their time in battle. After which they have to recharge in order to use this form again.
