Jack was the guardian of the Wolf Spirit until his powers and spirit were taken away from Venus for the use of the Trinity Fury Ranger whose purpose was to eliminate the rangers. However, despite regaining control over his body, Will was able to envision the three guardians as his mentors.
Originally, Jack was also the Silver Wolf Ranger. However he was never seen using his ranger form in the show making him unidentified as an actual ranger.

- Despite being the first silver wolf ranger of the show, Jack's actually the second wolf ranger of the Power Rangers series as the Lunar Wolf Ranger happens to be the first silver wolf ranger from Power Rangers Wild Force in continuity.
