Jōhō-gijutsu Sentai Appliranger (translated as Information Technology Taskforce Appliranger - often shortened as IT Taskforce Appliranger) is the third Super Sentai season in Gokai-Volt's Super Sentai franchise.
The series has elements from Denji Sentai Megaranger and is based around technology and information technology (IT).
This is the first Sentai series to be based in an education setting and to use the technology theme - the series would later be adapted into Power Rangers System Defenders.
Plot[]
In the distant future - humanity has succeeded in technology and now relies on it on a daily basis. In a Tokyo based college, a award-winning Professor is developing his latest invention with the help of five students.
However, one day, when the students were working alone on the invention - a sudden invasion of Nanobots (known as the CyberBandits) - hijack and overrun the systems, shutting down all links to a majority of technologies and important businesses.
One of the students finds a mysterious device - and the Professor informs them that they must use that device to dive into the tech world itself to stop the CyberBandits before they cause the world to shutdown.

Trivia[]
- The series was previously called Technology Sentai Appliranger but was changed to Information Technology Sentai Appliranger due to it's use of computers and other equipment relating closer to Information Technology.
- This is the first Gokai-Volt Super Sentai series, to have a male Red Ranger and to have a battle where Rangers are untransformed, due to not be able to use their transformation device.
- The AppliChips and ConnectChips are based on storage devices, such as Floppy Disks and SD Cards.
