Hyosuke Ishioka (石岡 兵介 Ishioka Hyōsuke?) is Seiken Violet (セイケンバイオレット Seiken Baioretto?), the Violet Ranger of the Seikengers. Hyosuke was the first of the current Seikengers to join, chosen in 2017 by Ares to become the second Seiken Violet 75 years after the fall of the original, Julius Aurelius. The oldest of the Ishioka siblings, he is a 27 (biologically 20) (later 28) year-old demigod, the first son and child of Hermes and Natsumi Ishioka. As Seiken Violet, Hyosuke is second-in-command to Seiken Red.

Personality[]

Hyosuke the serious and responsible one among the Seikengers. As the firstborn of the Ishioka family, he is a very independent and hard-working person, and is easily a stereotypical older brother, being the leader among his siblings and quite protective over his younger sisters and Reika, while he bickers with his younger brother quite often. As a Champion of Ares raised by a Champion of Hecate, Hyosuke is extremely outspoken, stubborn, determined, and very much a perfectionist. Like Xander, Hyosuke is decently open-minded, but when he has his mind set on something, nothing can change it. Like Julius, Hyosuke is short-tempered and a brutal fighter, but is extremely loyal, especially to his family and teammates, though this also caused him to struggle with fighting Mania Xander. Being raised as a demigod with a somewhat present Godly father, Hyosuke is extremely respectful towards the Greek Gods, and rarely speaks against them. Also, according to Kouta and then confirmed by Hyosuke, Hyosuke is an older brother in the sense that "No matter how fast you run, I can walk faster".

Similar to with Julius and Xander, Hyosuke and Reika did not get along very well at first. However, unlike their predecessors, it did not take thousands of years for them to learn to get along. In the Seikenger hierarchy, Reika generally leaves most of her traditional responsibilities to her more experienced second-in-command, and Hyosuke was thankful for the stability this system gave the Olympian Imperial Guard. As time went on, Hyosuke began to trust Reika more and more, eventually following her as the primary leader of the Seikengers. While he was able to adjust to Reika's role decently quickly, Hyosuke is very distrustful and generally does not get along with new people, and according to Haruto, he and Tsukiko are so similar that they wanted to kill each other in the beginning. Very often, Hyosuke is described as impatient and easy to anger, and is generally a very aggressive person, which was shown when he punched Julius to get him to calm down after destroying his Mania. Fights between Seiken Violet II and Mania Seiken Violet also tend to create much more damage than fights between the other Seikengers and other Manias, with the exception of the Seiken Reds due to them being supernaturally powerful.

Despite his flaws, Hyosuke's younger siblings do consider him to be a very good older brother, and he really is a decently responsible adult. Unlike his predecessor, Hyosuke is able to let loose and have fun without much problem, and often plays with his younger allies. He also often helps Miko and the twins with their homework, though he didn't remember the lessons from Reika's courses very well and therefore let Sayaka help her instead. According to Kouta, teenage Hyosuke also use to terrorize his younger brother, usually by chasing him or throwing things at him, although Hyosuke later stated that he actually has no idea why he scared Kouta so much, and it likely was just the Fates messing with them knowing they would later become Seiken Violet and Seiken Green, with Seiken Violet usually not being able to take Seiken Green seriously. Despite being mean to Kouta, Hyosuke is usually the one helping his mother take care of his youngest siblings, and has developed a habit of patting the twins and later Reika on the head. Hyosuke is also the one who signs things for the three teenage Seikengers, and has somewhat become one of their legal guardians, as prior to the Kaneko Twins, he and Sayaka were the only ones old enough to sign legal documents. Hyosuke is also the one who supervised Reika while she talked to Eisuke in prison, as she wasn't old enough to visit on her own, but after Seiken Black and Seiken White joined the team, this responsibility mainly transferred over to Haruto. Generally, Hyosuke is a protective older brother for Reika and Aiko, and a legitimate terrorist for Kouta, while he respects Sayaka, butts heads with Tsukiko and Hilda, gets along with Haruto, and usually gets annoyed with Hajime.
