Gosei is a wise and stoic mentor to his team, guiding them on their missions and training them to hone their skills. He can be very blunt with them, coming off as cold at times. His main focus is for them to complete the mission. He wants to be like Zordon but struggles. He keeps secrets, like his past, from the Rangers. He is haunted by his past mistakes.

- The name Gosei (護星) heralds from Mega Force's Sentai source series, Tensou Sentai Goseiger.
- His design is based off of the Gosei Power Releasement Vessel Tensouder (Gosei Morpher) from Goseiger.
