Genso Sentai Tōkaiger (translated as Element Taskforce Hidden Rangers) is the eight series in Gokai-Volt's Super Sentai series. - it would later be into Power Rangers Shinobi Elements. The series has a ninja and element motif.
Much like Norimono Sentai Drivenger, the series theme was suggested by Future Beetle.
The series was inspired by Ninja Sentai Kakuranger and Ninpu Sentai Hurricaneger, as well as a little inspiration from the Metal Heroes Series, Sekai Ninja Sen Jiraiya

Plot[]
Long ago - a fearsome demon took over the city of which is now modern-day Tokyo. However, the demon's reign was ended by a group of shinobi ninja - sealing him in a jar and sealing in a hidden cave on top of Mt. Fuji. Since then - generations of ninjas were tasked to guard the entrance to the cave.
However - one day as three descendants of those shinobi were guarding the cave - the jar accidentally breaks and the demon escapes. The three must now become the Elemental Ninja Taskforce - Tōkaiger - before the demon destroys Tokyo and out an end to his rampage and rescue Tokyo from destruction.

Trivia[]
- This is the first ninja theme'd Sentai by Gokai-Volt.
- This is the second series to have it's theme suggested by Future Beetle, after Norimono Sentai Drivenger.
- This is the second Gokai-Volt Super Sentai series to use the theme of elements, after Kōzoku Sentai Rokaiger (the Earth Stones had elemental powers).
- This is the third Gokai-Volt Super Sentai series, to have at least 50 episodes after Kōzoku Sentai Rokaiger and Togo Sentai Crossenger.
- The series was originally called Soshi Sentai Fukuzaiger but was changed to Genso Sentai Tōkaiger.
- The Rangers' names are based upon their element.
- This is the first Gokai-Volt series to have a Silver Ranger that is not a sixth Ranger or Extra Hero and the second to have a sky-blue Ranger. This is also the first season to have a temporary Ranger (similar to that of Emperor Z and Ticket from Ressha Sentai ToQger.
