Gelato is an alien overlord and the main antagonist of the Atomic Force Rangers.
Character History[]
Little is known about Gelato's past, other than that he controls an interplanetary empire. In 2005, he began attacking Earth, sending his Gel Troopers and Shockers to destroy city after city. However, Dr. Adrian Fisher of Five Hills began developing counterattacks, and when the Atomic Force Rangers appeared, Gelato focused his invasion on Five Hills. As usual, it did not go well.
Gelato spent most of his time in his own ship on his throne, sending down Gel Shockers and being exasperated by their constant failures. He became intrigued by the Time Walker, and started searching for him, declaring him to be the key to defeating Atomic Force. Finally, Gelato went to Five Hills himself, and began interrogating the homeless about the Time Walker's location. When the Rangers intervened, he ordered Biomecha and Sanswarp to keep them busy, and went to find the Time Walker himself. He was furious when they defeated, but didn't finish off, the trio, and ordered Biomecha to make Sanzwarp grow.
Although the promise of a newly thawed batch of Gel Shockers seemed to please Gelato, the arrival of Jack as the Vortex Ranger infuriated him to the point where he almost smashed all of his Gel Troopers into puddles.
Personality[]
Gelato's most-demonstrated trait is angry frustration, but he does seem to be on generally good terms with his subordinates, complimenting them when they deserve it, listening to their advice and generally treating them as actual people. As his battle worsens, he grows more angry and violent, but he is more controlled and calculating than the average evil emperor.
