Episode 1: A New Legend Begins (Power Rangers Legendary)

A New Legend Begins is the first episode of Power Rangers Legendary. It marks the start of the series. It features the debut of the Primal Instinct and Ninja Steel Legendary Ranger Gears.

Synopsis[]

Young Power Ranger fan Zeke discovers a horrible secret that could threaten the entire world. But with a new power given to him, he has the power to create his own army and fight back.

Plot[]

The episode starts with footage of villains the rangers have faced attacking Earth, with a narrator saying the world's always been in danger of evil. It then cuts to quick shots of every single Power Ranger team ever, saying that they were always there to protect us. The narrator then mentions that it looks to be time to call upon a new team.

It then shows us Zeke, drawing a picture of the Red Mighty Morphin Ranger, the Yellow Wild Force Ranger, the Blue Operation Overdrive Ranger, the Pink Mystic Force Ranger, and the White Mighty Morphin Thunder Ranger. His mom walks in, and compliments his drawing, as Zeke says it's for a contest where one of the judges is Trent, the White Dino Thunder Ranger. She doesn't recognize the name "Dino Thunder", which confuses Zeke. He tries to jog her memory of the Power Rangers, but it doesn't work. Upset and confused, he calls his friend Chucky to tell him about it, but he too has no idea of who the Power Rangers are. Zeke goes around asking everyone in the neighborhood if they know about the Rangers, and they all ask "Who are the Power Rangers?". Zeke, now even more upset, goes to the contest to see Trent is not there. He quickly gets furious, and runs off to the mountains in fiery rage.

After some more raging, shouting, and punching rocks, he kicks a nearby stone, which reveals a strange object. He looks closer, discovering it to be a gear with the number 45, and a White Ranger on it. After picking it up, it creates a trail of rainbow mist, which he follows to a large door with a lightning bolt symbol on it. He opens it, and discovers the Grand Ranger Hall, a large museum dedicated to the Power Rangers. After exploring for a while, he finds a door labeled "Only Rangers May Enter.", and he goes in. He finds a recreation of the Mighty Morphin Command Center, and finds a button to place his hand on. After doing so, the area begins to glow bright lights of Red, Yellow, Green, Blue, Pink, White, Gold, and Silver, as the tube begins to fill with water, and lightning zaps through the wires on the walls. Eventually, Zordon appears, which shocks Zeke. Zordon tells Zeke that he was able to be returned through Zeke's power, as he is a Ranger. Zeke, confused, is shown every Ranger in history, and throughout other universes, summoned to fight a new threat, Negasin and his army of Plug monsters. They are all wiped out by a dark beam, and their souls are trapped inside a dark void, as the world's memory is erased of them as a result. Zeke questions how he still remembers the Rangers, and Zordon tells him it's because he has been chosen by the Morphin Masters to take down Negasin by forming his own army of Rangers, using a secret weapon made by the Morphin Masters called the Mechazords, robots made to represent a certain team of Rangers whenever a new team is made.

Zeke chooses the rangers from his drawing, minus the White Ranger, and is given 4 more Ranger Gears, as the corresponding Mechazords arrive in the Command Center. They are colored, and the souls of Jason, Dax, Vida and Taylor are freed, and placed into the Mechazords. Jason wakes up first, and is freaked out by his new form. The others wake up shortly after, just as confused. Zordon explains the plan to them, and Zeke is given his Gear Gattler Morpher, making him the leader of the Rangers, the White Legendary Ranger. Zeke, amazed by this turn of events, returns home as the Mechazords follow him. When they arrive, they simply tell his mom they are his prize for that contest he was in. Thankfully, it works. As they admire his room full of Ranger merchandise, Negasin watches them, and summons every villain the Rangers have faced, inviting them to destroy the Rangers with him.

After wondering about how the new Mechazords worked, an army of Plug Bots begin attacking the neighborhood, forcing Zeke to run in and fight back. After fighting them unmorphed, he gets hurt, and morphs for the first time. This helps him fight a lot, but he ultimately decides to summon Jason for backup. The 2 Rangers work together to take out the Plug Bots, and Zordon tells them to try using the Legendary Ranger Gears, based on various Ranger teams from throughout the many universes. Zeke uses the Primal Instinct Gear first, followed by Jason using the Ninja Steel Gear. After wiping out the Plug Bots, a giant Plug Mech arrives and attacks many buildings. Jason, curious, flips his gear around, and grows to massive size, allowing him to fight the Plug Mech, eventually winning.

The 5 Rangers return home as Zordon congratulates them, with Zordon making it clear that to keep the power, they must follow the same rules as before, never escalate a battle unless forced too, never use the power for personal gain, and never reveal their identities. Zeke is unsure at first, as he does not feel comfortable with lying to his mom, but the Rangers assure him it's for the best. They agree to do this, and protect the Ranger legacy, and celebrate.

"It's Morphin Time! White Legendary Ranger Gear! Charge it up! Fire!" - Zeke's morphing sequence call.
"Red Legendary Ranger Gear! Charge it up! Summon Mighty Morphin Mechazord!" - Zeke summoning the Red Ranger.
"I have great faith in you all. Good luck, and as I've said time and time before, may the power protect you." - Zordon wishing the Rangers luck.
"POWER RANGERS LEGENDARY!" - All 5 Rangers together at the end of the episode.
