Egan is a Shenian from the planet Orat & the long-lost brother of Jirab. He is the Gold Epic Ranger, the Gold Ranger of the Epic Rangers.

Egan is a hot-blooded young man who came to Earth from Orat to reunite with his long lost brother Jirab. He has a pure personality &, despite being older than Jirab, acts like a child. However, even though he tries his best to get others to like him, his naivety often rubs others the wrong way, as he sometimes does or says things that may come off as awkward & off-putting.
Since young, Egan has always wanted to be a hero, & does his best in whatever he can do to become one. Driven by an uplifting motivation, he eventually begins to idolize Logan & strives to become as good as him. However, this sheer idolization has also at times led him into extreme disappointment out of being deemed not competent enough like his brother, leading to the birth of his alternate personality.
Despite the misgivings & misunderstandings arising from the actions of his "dangerous" persona, Egan has not faltered in his quest to become a hero, & was also quick to accept his dangerous persona after being made aware of & meeting him face to face for the first time. In fact, this has only served to spur him on in his goal to surpass Logan in a positive manner.
It is revealed that even though his current personality is his dominant personality, he is actually an alternate personality that was created during his childhood as a result of winning a simple game of "Who's the Brak?" with his friends with his personality as Dangerous Egan being Egan's original personality.

- Despite being the older brother, Egan looks up to Logan. While adoring Logan, he has a deep grudge that he manages to overcome because Logan views Egan as another ordinary companion. Despite being able to do so, Egan reawakened his original personality which is currently dubbed as 'Dangerous Egan' by the others.

- Vora/Yellow Epic Ranger: Although Egan initially didn't trust Vora due to her being a Brak, Egan later openly views Vora as an ally. However, his bad deeds have tarnished his relationship towards Vora. While Egan still wants to do his best so he can be viewed well by Vora, Vora does the opposite. However, Vora is not open too much on how much she dislikes Egan.
- Rico Villalobos/Black Epic Ranger: Egan has yet to meet Rico properly. However, Egan is unaware that he has made Rico hate him.

- Egan openly views Val as an ally. However, his bad deeds have tarnished his relationship towards Val. While Egan still wants to do his best so he can be viewed well by Val, Val does the opposite. Egan is even unaware that Val has the same amount of bitterness towards him as how Sal dislikes him. But Val is still open to having him as an ally as long as 'Dangerous Egan' doesn't rampage.

- TBA: The Gold Epic Ranger launches a red energy dragon from the emblem on his chest that rams into the target multiple times as he thrusts the Dragon Blade Morpher through them without the enemy noticing.

By using the Epic Dragon Zord Gear, the Gold Epic Ranger's soul separates from his body & transforms into the 20cm tall Epic Dragon Zord in a manner similar to an online game's player switching to their alternate account. Once engaged, the Epic Dragon Zord can change between a humanoid form resembling the Gold Epic Ranger for active combat or an armored dragon form in defensive situations.
Although the Epic Dragon Zord is effective in combat, its usage has the side effect of leaving the Gold Epic Ranger's real body limp & vulnerable to attack.
The Epic Dragon Zord can also be used when the Gold Epic Ranger is unmorphed, though that usually means that his real body tends to be left limp without his soul.
The Epic Dragon Ninja Steel Zord is the combined form of the Epic Dragon Zord & the Legendary Ninja Steel Zord.
The Epic Dragon Super Megaforce Zord is the combined form of the Epic Dragon Zord & the Legendary Super Megaforce Zord.
The Dragon Zord is the dragon-based zord form of the Gold Epic Ranger. He forms the helmet, visor, outer arms, chest armor, back, lower legs, & the tail sword of the Ancient Prime Megazord, & the left arm, feet, chest armor, helmet, lap plate, & weapons of the Epic Prime Megazord. As the Dragon Zord, he possesses the ability of flight, constricts his opponents in combat, & can fire an orange fire beam from his jaws.
Using the Legendary Ranger Gears of Legendary Rangers, the Gold Epic Ranger has access to the powers of any Sixth Ranger of his choosing, donning them in a manner like a game character donning a skin. Unlike his core teammates, each form retains its belt buckle, with the Gold Epic Ranger instead continually donning the Tiger Shield Morpher during each morphing sequence.

- The Gold Epic Ranger's helmet is designed off of a Chinese Dragon.
Notes[]
- Egan's forms being based on a dragon & a tiger coincidentally parallel with the motifs of the first two Sixth Rangers, with the torso armor being a nod to both.
- And, in turn, Tommy Oliver, who gained the ability to switch between the Green Ranger & White Ranger (among his others powers) via the Master Morpher, as well as serving as team leader for an extended period.
