The Dragonic Saber is the sword sidearm of the Dragon Raid Rangers/Dragonic Pirates. Modeled after a cutlass, in addition to its use as a weapon, it is used to summon the Rangers' auxiliary Zords and their associated power-ups. Outside of combat purposes, the sword has a built-in grappling hook, which can be used to swing around in battle or to make a quick escape.
Appearance[]
The Dragonic Saber resembles the Super Mega Saber, but with a dragon-themed version of the Chromafury Saber's dinosaur head, and the Dragonic Pirates' logo in place of the Super Megaforce one.
Power Up[]
When an auxiliary Scale of Power is inserted in the mouth, opened by the lever in the back, the user can access a Dragonic Weapon or Armor.
To summon a weapon or armor, a Dragon Raid Ranger inserts an auxiliary scale and "chomps" twice with the Dragonic Saber, then pulls the trigger to summon the weapon/armor.
Finishing Strike[]
To activate a finishing strike, a Dragon Raid Ranger inserts their transformation Scale of Power, holds down the trigger, and (if using the transformation scale)/or simply just (if using an auxiliary scale) "chomps" twice with the Dragonic Saber to initiate the attack, then pulls the trigger to activate the attack.
The default finisher with the transformation Scales is the Dragonic Slash, where the saber generates a giant projection of the Ranger's respective dragon motif which is swung with the sword to slash/smash the enemy. The team finisher is the Mega Dragonic Slash, where all five Rangers perform the Dragonic Slash, their projections merging into a single giant dragon which is then hammered down on the Maelstrom Beast.
Zord Summon[]
To summon an auxiliary Zord, a Dragon Fighter, Dragon Runner or Dragon Droid, a Dragon Raid Ranger using the auxiliary Zord's associated weapon or armor "chomps" twice with the Dragonic Saber before pulling the trigger to summon the Zord.
Notes[]
- The Dragonic Saber is primarily inspired by the Gokai Saber, but its functions were inspired by the Ryusoul Ken.
- The Dragonic Saber requires only two "chomps" to activate its abilities, simplified from the Ryusoul Ken's six.
