Doctor Axel is one of the original of King Moonsault's new generals in Power Rangers Shining Spirits.

Character History[]

"I am the devil himself. I am Doctor Axel, the prince of nightmares" -Axel's first line

"I could never love the man I loved, even if I wanted to. I couldn't be the formidable foe Moonsault and Asheera thought. I don't have the spark of a thoosie to have a crystal of my own. Perhaps a Valkyrie will take me to Valhalla for I died the death of a warrior, despite the acts I've done. We tried to save her Sophia, Callie. To try isn't hard enough." -Axel's death monologue

Early History[]

Born Max Elerbeck, he was cast out by his family onto the streets due to being gay. He felt rage from being cast out by everyone to fend for himself on the streets of Boston.

A fire lent him a chance to join Tessa apart of Moonsault's army promising to get his revenge on his family.

Doctor Axel[]

He was a rather experimental initially vs Asheera and Kareem, creating his Demon Axel form and a "Second Life" as it was for his first phear, which was themed to a magnet.

He then made 2 monsters, Kiln Phear and Cooler Phear, to attain S-Bahn Bullet. However, Marina got in the way of the ranger's battle with them, causing her to loose her memories after her sister was born.

Due to a beef held by the new silver ranger, Gai Hikaru, Axel decided to create a time travel phear to send them back to the past, but they beat him at his game.

His final phear, Glue Phear, glued Asheera and Sophia togeather. For that, he was punished. He ultimately left just after Ed Hart's death.

His energy and ideas ended up being used Demon Kareem form.

Later History[]

After defecting, he decided to try and beat both the rangers and The Nether Star Clan to the last Gaia Crystal. He was able bribe Kareem off the trail to recapture Shoelien and give the rangers the Crystal. They then tried to capture Shoelien and failed.

While Sophia and Callie went after Sarapis, he helped the male rangers plan an attack on Moonsault's Ship.

He attempted to stop Asheera from turning herself into a cyborg and that she could take his soul and become a perfect mortal to let Sarapis go free. Unfortunately, he was killed by Asheera's Gataling Form trying to protect Sarapis whilst failing to morph. As he lay dying, he spews the regrets of his life: not being able to love the man he loved, being a villain, and dreaming he'd known of Koaster Kids/Thrills United before meeting Asheera that things might be different, his left hand in Logan's right as he passed.

Personality[]

He is fueled by Vengeance from being exiled by the world.

Demon Axel[]

In this form, he is based off the Jersey Devil.

His monster form is that of the Jersey Devil
- In turn, representing the Jersey Devil Coaster at Six Flags Great Adventure
Demon Axel is a slightly altered version of Carantula from Kiramager
He is the first general to defect and 3rd die
- 12th including Maliga, Drokar, Sarapis, and Veula's army
His uniform resembles Kento Fukamiya/Kamen Rider Espada's from Kamen Rider Saber
He gets his surname from a former female classmate of Lemurseighteen's
- He had planned on adding his sister, a "roving jewel" called Katie Cruel, as a recurring character to replace Moria. This reason mainly is why this has never solidified.
His connection to the streets of Boston comes from the Magnus Chase series by Rick Riorden (who lives there)
- This is also referenced in him mentioning be taken by a Valkyrie for dying a warrior's death.
