Daniel "Danny" Adams is the best friend and later husband of Luke Davis who worked as an assistant at the shop belonging to Luke's grandmother. He also acted as the Rangers mentor into the history of past teams by telling them fun facts about said teams whenever they use that team's respective Ranger Gear for the first time and would often assist them in situations where they may need his advice, even at the expense of being humiliated as a result of his own failings. As of episode 11, Danny had started to develop romantic feelings for Luke. Starting from episode 25 and ending with episode TBA, Danny would give himself the ability to help the rangers out in battle by equipping a specially made helmet and belt that he invented for himself in order to become a ranger-like hero called Typhoon-Man.
In the season finale after it was revealed that he actually SURVIVED the Black Mass Generator's explosion, Danny and Luke would get married in a ceremony with Luke's mother and grandmother, Danny's father, the other Rangers and Crystal & Shogun as witnesses.
Character History
Reuniting with Luke
Danny first appeared in Dangerous Delicacies by showing up in Luke's grandmother's candy store during a discussion between the Rangers about Luke's missing parents before going up to hug his old friend (Who Danny refers to as his "Little Bro" despite them not being related), before explaining that it's been so long since they last saw each other and how he got a job at the shop as her assistant. But this backfires as he accidentally slips off a ladder that he was climbing and ends up getting stuck in the stores roof whilst doing a job. However by the end of the episode, he manages to redeem himself as he offers to be the Ranger's mentor because of his extensive knowledge about past teams and the fact that he recently worked with Tommy Oliver and Mick Kanic (Before the events of the series) on a then currently unknown project that can help the Rangers (Specifically, Luke and Rex). This is before he tells Luke and the others about the history of the Power Rangers (Up to Dino Fury) in a similar fashion that Tommy did in the Dino Thunder episode, Legacy of Power (Albeit in a slightly more comedic but overall serious fashion) in episode 14.
Gold Ranger Danny?!
During the events of the three-part episode "Bring on the Power of Gold!", Luke and the other rangers thought that Danny was the mysterious Gold Robo Ranger cause of him not being at the base with Luke's grandmother when the team were out fighting that story's Robo-Beast. Luke also pointed out that despite both him and Danny's physical and sometimes logical imperfections, Danny is still able to help others in times of need (Which is a good quality for a Ranger to have). However this theory proved to be false as it was revealed during Part 2 that Danny was actually at the base the whole time but he was too busy to talk with the Rangers on their communicators because he had to work on the Gold Rangers zords (Danny also explains to the others that he and Rex were good friends on Andresia during the period of time that he and Luke went their separate ways after graduating from school when Luke questioned him on how he knew who Rex was). He also states that his often clumsy behaviour and constant pun-making might get in the way of an important battle so his body might not be up for such a demanding task (Although he'd eventually become a ranger-like hero after getting some encouragement from Luke who reminded him of the first ever lesson that he taught to Luke when they were kids).
A Growing Relationship and Creating the Super Surge Gear
During the events of episode 20 Luke planned to ask Danny out on a date to the local amusement park which he'd agree to because it had been a while since they've done anything together that was non-ranger related. When they got back from their trip, the boys would exchange gifts between one another with Danny's present for Luke being a bucket of special slime which he explains can help his friend feel calm and relaxed whenever Luke feels like he's about to have a meltdown. Luke would thank Danny for the item before the friends engaged in a deep and romantic kiss whilst they hugged each other by the shops fireplace as the other Rangers watched.

Personality
According to Luke, Danny was one of the only people (Besides his family) who stood up for him during their time at school together as he was getting bullied quite a lot by his classmates and he also knew exactly what to do to make Luke laugh or feel happy again whenever he was upset due to his somewhat funny, chaotic and clumsy nature. Although he is often used as a comedic relief character most of the time, Danny can also be taken seriously by other people when he needs to be portrayed as a mentor-like figure to the team. Like for example when he and Morphin told Luke NOT to give up, not to feel bad about himself and try to keep focusing on the task ahead when Luke blamed himself, his goal of finding his parents and his autism for the fact that he and the rest of the team got caught in Sushinobi's trap after he began to cry.
He also told Luke that he shouldn't let his disability get the better of him by saying that everyone is different and has their own special qualities that makes them unique in their own way plus that he shouldn't think of it as a "disability" but think of it as a "different ability". Despite not being autistic like his friend, Danny sometimes shares Luke's trait of not being a person who thinks things through well enough. This is best shown in "Take Out the Trash" when he and Luke tried to reach the palace of the Robonoid Empire by jumping off the other rangers backs. But this plan failed as they both ended up falling face first in a nearby mud puddle. Danny also has a slight habit of making rather stupid puns like for example in the Forever Red special, he told Luke that it was "Not the time for jokes" when his friend sneezed by replacing the word "Not" with "Snot".
Behind the Scenes
Portrayal
- Danny is portrayed by a British actor, comedian and entertainer of the same name who is perhaps best known to UK Power Ranger fans for playing the same "fictionalized version of himself" in the long-running CBBC sitcom, Danny and Mick. As Typhoon-Man, his suit actor is Kosuke Asai (ęµ äŗå®č¼, Asai Kosuke).
