Christian "Chris" is a half-Crystalian human and prince from the planet Crystalia who was part of the Ancient Crystal Fury Rangers some years ago as the Crystal Fury Silver Ranger. He later woke up from his sleep in the present day and reunited with his sister Esmeralda, becoming the Sixth Ranger of the modern Crystal Fury Rangers in Power Rangers Crystal Fury. He was adopted by King Soarin 9 years ago and had a Crystal Gem implanted into him at the age of 7.

When he was briefly brainwashed by his uncle Artemis, he became the Crystal Fury Evil Silver Ranger, an evil version of his Ranger form, and fought the Crystal Rangers, serving as the central antagonist of the episode "Silver With Evil" until Christian was freed, rejoining his new teammates.

History[]

Early life[]

Little is known about Christian's early life other than sometime during his childhood, both of his parents died in a tragic car accident. Later, in a forest, he was adopted by Crystalia's royal family at his young age with nothing known about his biological family.

Past[]

Some years ago in Crystalia before Crystal Fury, Christian was once part of the Warriors of Crystalia, under the leadership of his adopted faher, King Soarin, who was also the person who personally recruited him among the warriors.

Personality[]

Christian is loyal, positive and very sentimental. He is also very impulsive and stubborn, which most often puts him in difficult situations that require help. In the first episodes since his appearance, he tended to show courage in hiding his true feelings, but later opened up more to the Crystal Rangers after helping him on several occasions.

As observed by Julian Atkinson, Chris is a kind and caring person at heart, who enjoys helping people, while pretending to act cold and selfish. Most of these mood swings and her aloof personality stem from keeping secrets that involve the potential loss of his sister.

He is also somewhat flattering as he pays many compliments to Sarah Collins, Camille Hernandez and his younger sister, Princess Esmeralda.

Crystal Fury Silver Ranger[]

Crystal Fury Silver Ranger

This form is Christian's primary Ranger form that he was granted from by the Morphin Masters some years ago. Using the Silver Crystal Morpher, Chris can access his Ranger Form by pressing on the middle button that symbolizes a Ranger helmet and then spins the disc to transform into his Ranger form allowing him to become the Crystal Fury Silver Ranger. In this form he has access to his Shiny Jackhammer and his personal Zord that he can use in battle against the Othrys Empire and their Masked Monsters. In one of the previous episodes of Crystal Fury, the Silver Ranger also obtained the Train Crystalzord and used it in battle. Crystal Fury Silver's suit design differs from the others Crystal Rangers, most notably with his pouch attached to his thigh, his goggles, and his arm guards being a different color than his base suit.

  • Crystalian Physiology: As a Crystalian, he is able to utilize the following:
    • Telepathy: Christian can read minds by making physical contact. He is also able to use this ability for the following further powers:
      • Telepathic Communication: Due to the gems in his body, he can reach out and speak to Esmeralda and others people telepathically.
  • Superhuman Strength: Due to the gems in his body, the Crystal Fury Silver Ranger is incredibly strong, able to stop a large quarry truck with just his legs and hold his own against foes that require all 5 main Crystal Rangers to handle as well as pull Fisher out of a portal just by pulling on the monster's fishing line.

  • Shining Fury Strike: The Crystal Fury Silver Ranger's signature attack where he charges up the Shiny Jackhammer and shoots a giant energy drill bit that bores through the opponent until they are obliterated.

Abilities[]

  • Experience: As Chris has fought alongside the Ancient Crystal Fury Rangers, he is a lot more experienced in dealing with the empire's members than the core Crystal Rangers.
  • Sword Mastery: As a former Crystal Knight, he excels in utilizing a sword.

Crystal Fury Evil Silver Ranger

Since the battle between Crystalia and the Othrys Empire 30 years ago, he had been controlled by the Monstone sent by his uncle and went into stasis until the present day, where Artemis sends a strike of concentrated dark energy to Chris. Now that the Monstone had full control of Christian's body, it can make him change into an evil variation of his original Ranger Form, called the Crystal Fury Evil Silver Ranger. Using the Dark Crystal Morpher, the brainwashed Christian can access his Evil Ranger Form by pressing on the middle button that symbolizes a monster face and then spins the disc to transform. While in this form, the dark energy he gathers goes over to Artemis empowering him instead.

  • Christian was named so because the beginning of the sound of his first name is similar to the word "Crystal".
    • Max and Apollo, were originally intended to be his name before Christian was finally chosen.
  • Chris is the first ever Silver Ranger and Sixth Ranger in all of Reiwa Power Rangers.
    • He is also the first (and so far only) Ranger who is/was part on two Ranger teams.
  • Chris' future plans included restoring Crystalia and crowning his sister its queen, which he ultimately accomplished in the season finale.
  • Christian is similar to Tommy Oliver and Aiyon (both from the Saban Universe) in several ways:
    • For Tommy:
      • Both started out as controlled Evil Rangers before eventually breaking free from evil's grasp and joining the team.
      • Both were the first Sixth Rangers of their respective franchises and are those of their team.
      • Both were adopted and know little, if anything, about their early lives.
      • Both have/had a love interest for their team's Pink Ranger: (Tommy: Kimberly then Katherine; Christian: Sarah).
      • Both have an alternate evil counterpart of themselves (Lord Drakkon and Lord Drillon) ruling their respective realities. Coincidentally, their names sound similar.
    • For Aiyon:
      • Both were part of a different Ranger team before eventually joining the modern members.
      • Both were in stasis several years ago.
      • They had a special relationship with their first Red Ranger teammates, (Aiyon's best friend: Zayto and Christian's father: Soarin), who both ended up dying and being resurrected into godlike beings.
  • Like for his Sentai counterpart, Christian's ability to summon the Shiny Jackhammer is a reference to modern interpretations of the Norse deity, Thor; particularly Marvel Comics' interpretation of the character. Similarly, the Shiny Breaker can also pull Chris through the air much like Mjƶlnir does Thor.
