Chpt14 Ep1: "The Girl" is an episode in the series: Power Rangers: Omniverse.
Plot
Following the events of the Chpt13 finale, the Antichrist, Damien, was defeated once and for all by the hands of a mysterious hooded Ranger who turned out to be a young girl. She fought head on against the spawn of Lucifer with the help of retrieving the Spear of Destiny and using it to bring an end to the Antichrist's reign of terror.
The duo are shocked by having to witness the Antichrist' downfall under the hands of the mysterious young girl.
Hunter
What the hell just happened?
Kurt
(surprised) She---she killed Damien.
Hunter
Yeah, I get that. I mean did you see the way she fought him? How did she even get the spear???
The mysterious girl then takes a step back as she gets a bit startled while Hunter becomes frantic.
Kurt
Hey, come on take it easy. She's just a girl.
Hunter
Yeah, a random girl who managed to kill the freakin' Antichrist. How do we know she's not another Hell-spawn to take his place?
Kurt
Just back off for a sec, Hunter. (slowly approaches the mysterious girl) Um hey, uh, th-thank you very much for saving us. You've -- just kinda saved the world (smiles). But, who are you? And, where did you come from?
Just outside the convent, a group of military-styled troops are about to storm in the building and at the same time, they all have body-camera that's being broadcasted to their headquarters where someone on the other end is viewing as this happens.
Inside, as the mysterious girl is about to say something to Hunter and Kurt, a metal cannister then comes flying in from the window and then explodes out a white flash, blinding the trio. Then a couple more of flashbangs and tear gas cannisters comes flying in to incompacitate them. Then coming from all sides of the windows in the church, a dozen commandos bursts in the scene to try to get Hunter and Kurt. Kurt quickly morphs in his White Dino Ranger form and blindlessly fights off a few troops as they try to restrain him. But an injured Hunter gets caught in by the assaulting troops and gets taken down with a blast of a taser. The young girl then gets hit by one of the bolts as well fired by a trooper. Kurt notices this and quickly becomes furious and takes down several troops and heads over to the girl's side and charges at the soldier who harmed her and jams his Drago Sword deep on the soldier's leg to completly immobilize him. Kurt then goes over to the girl and carries her as she goes unconscious. He then sees Hunter being captured by the troops, with no other choice but to leave Hunter behind, he races to the backdoor exit of the church to escape as he carries the girl out and then buckles her in the backseat of the Impala and speeds off to make a getaway from the scene. At the same time, the troops makes it out of the church and spots the Impala now out of their reach.
The captain of the militia group then removes their gas mask who reveals to be.....COLE! The man who once hunted down Kurt while Kurt was under the influence of the Mark of Cain. Cole then reports on his radio that "Kurt has escaped with a girl" and questions if they should proceed on trying to chase him down. The individual on the other end is now shown frantically going through piles of old portfolio folders and comes across on what he's looking for and orders Cole to retrieve the girl from Kurt at all costs. Over the indivdual's should then reveals...A FOLDER CONTAINING OLD FILES AND A PICTURE OF THE GIRL!
The Impala then shows to be skiding to a nearby hospital where Kurt then rushes the young girl inside to treat her injury after being tased by the soldiers. The staff then has her on a gurney and rushes her down to the emergency room as they ask Kurt several questions.
Hospital staff
What happened?
Kurt
She-she was shocked by a bolt of electricty.
Hospital staff
Where did this occur?
Kurt then grows nervous having to come up with a story instead of telling them what actual happened after being ambushed.
Kurt
A-at home. There was an accident. She was just in her room --- where she was shocked by a plug on the wall she touched.
Hospital staff
Are you her father?
Kurt
Y-yes, I am.Hospital staff
And what's her name?
Kurt wonders a bit to give the girl a name then comes across with one.
Kurt
Uh---um, her----her name is----Amara. Her name is Amara.
Hospital staff
Ok, we're gonna make sure that your daughter will recover from this incident.
They then have Kurt wait down the hall of the emergency room as they tend to her aid. Kurt grows a worried look hoping the girl is able to make it through.
Back in the church, the troops and a couple other associates have created a crime-scene of sorts. It reveals the troops have captured some of the creatures that Damien had unleashed prior and has them in cages. They're then scanning the entire church and collecting data and evidence, including the Spear of Destiny that was left behind, along with a now-captive Hunter being held by the troops. One of the troops goes up to Hunter and asks him where Kurt has taken the girl. All Hunter does is spat at the face of the soldier and then punches Hunter. He then tells his troops to haul Hunter in a van and to wrap things up.
After a couple of hours have passed, Kurt is still sitting down the hallway, anxiously waiting for the progress on the girl. A doctor then finally walks up to Kurt to give him an update and informs him that the girl will be just fine and can be out of the hospital in the following morning. As the doctor leads Kurt to her room, he gives him further detail about her "instant recovery". He mentions that she was hit by several thousands of volts of electricty. As if she were stunned by four times the amount of energy from a regular taser (which, in truth, actually happened) but she managed to jump right out of her bed in the emergency room while they were tending to her. Kurt then enters her room and sees her to be completely fine as if she wasn't harmed at all. The doctor then decides to give the two a moment. Kurt then goes over to sit by her bedside.
Kurt
Um, hey. How are you holding up? They say that little shock that hit you didn't hurt you at all?
The girl shakes her head to this.
Kurt
Th-that's good to hear. (sighs in relief) You almost had me nervous there for a second. (Kurt then reaches his pockets) Oh, I, uh, stopped by the vending machine and got you something.
Kurt holds out a pack of M&M's, the girl then reaches for it in excitement.
Girl
My favorite!
Kurt
Aw, really? They're my favorite too.
Kurt then pours a few pieces on the girls' hands as he eats a few with her as well.
Kurt
Say um, you didn't get to answer when I asked you where you came from before. And who you were. Y-you just came out of nowhere and helped me and my brother against Lucifer's son you just---(expresses out as he was impressed by her) you beat him! And, you killed him! Do you remember anything before all that?
The girl thinks this out for a minute and shakes her head and nervously says "no, I---I don't remember where I come from".
Kurt then understands this.
Kurt
Okay, okay. We'll figure this out together. And we'll try to get some answers on why those guys attacked us and then get my brother back. In the meantime, I had to tell the doctors here that I was your father, so, I have to look out for you until I can return you to your real folks. Is that okay with you?
She nods as an agree.
Kurt
Okay.
The girl then holds out her hands as she wants to have some more M&M's.
Kurt
Oh, I didn't notice you ate yours that fast already. Let's see, um---
Kurt then notices a small amount left in the bag.
Kurt
Actually, I'm almost running out. And it was the only one at the machine. But, tell you what, we can play a game of "guess the M&M color". And if you guess three correctly, you get the entire pack. But if you get any wrong, I get to have a piece until we run out. Sound good?
The girl nods.
Kurt
Okay. (picks out a random piece and holds it in his palm) What color?
Girl
Mm, red.
As Kurt opens his palm, she's correct. Though Kurt goes ahead and eats it anyway.
Girl
Hey, not fair.
Kurt
Well, I'm sorry. I had to get that one, reds are my favorite. But if you can get this next one correctly, you win it all. Deal?
Girl
Mm, deal.
Kurt
Okay. Now what's this one? (holds out his hand)
Girl
Uhh---green, no! Purple! I mean purple.
Kurt then holds out his hand and turns out to be the right color. She claps her hands and is glad how she got the color right.
Girl
Purple is my favorite.
Kurt
Ok, congratz kiddo. Here you go. (hands her the rest of the pieces)
Girl
Yay!
The girl and Kurt trade smiles with one another as Kurt shows to already share a bond with the mysterious young girl, as if she were his own daughter.
Meanwhile, just outside the hospital, several creatures that Damien had unleashed have now made it's way the hospital compound and begins attacking nearby civilians.
Inside, the fire alarm blurs which alerts Kurt and the girl. Kurt tells her to not worry as he checks to see what's going on. Once he looks out of the hallway, the alarm is sending people running out of the rooms, some with hauling out patients in their beds. Kurt then bumps into a hospital staff and questions them on what's going on. They tell him that there's an attack going on in the building where creatures of some sort are slaughtering people, urging everyone to evacuate the building. At the same, on the other end of the hall, the creatures have now made it to their floor level and charges towards several people and attacking them. As Kurt notices this, he quickly barricades the door of the girl's room and tells her to stay hidden as he fights off the creatures. Worried, she begs Kurt not to leave her behind and Kurt promises her that he'll do everything to protect her at all costs. She then trusts Kurt's and proceeds to hide in a small cabinet that she's able to fit in. And so, Kurt then utters; "White Ranger, Dino Power" and morphs in his White Dino Ranger form. He strides down the hall to confront the creatures, one with a face having several mandibles and four arms, the second which looks like a slimy squid-like creature that's leaking ooze all over it's body and another that's a spider-like creature that's able to crawl over the walls. Kurt takes out his Drago Sword and proceeds to clash with the trio of monsters. Kurt first slashes one of the legs of the spider-monster and is able to incompacitate it briefly then focuses on the four-armed creature. As he tries to strike it with his sword, the creature is able to block Kurt's attack with two of his arms and the other set punching Kurt sending him flying across the hall. Kurt quickly gets back up as the squid-monster approaches him. Kurt tries to lay a hit on it but his sword gets absorbed by the squid's body from it's body mass consisting of ooze. Kurt then punches his arm through it's body to get a hold of his Drago Sword from within then uses it to emit an energy bolt that blasts upward through it's head, Kurt then raises his sword towards the ceiling, being able to decapitate the squid's head, and killing it. As he turns his attention back to the remaining creatures, the limping spider-monster then spews out an enourmous netting of cobweb, blinding and immobilizing Kurt. In the room, the girl witnesses this as she realizes that Kurt is now in trouble and must do something. Where suddenly, a white light flashes within her room then her door gets kicked open. Meanwhile the four-armed creature then uses all it's arms to lay a huge blow on Kurt, causing a shockwave in the hallway, and sending him crashing through a wall. The brute creature and spider-monster then looms over Kurt, and as the four-armed creature is about to uses it's fists to crush down on Kurt, from beind, a sound of a sword slash is heard over the four-armed creature. Once it brings it's arms down...HIS HANDS HAVE NOW BEEN CUT OFF! Through Kurt's view as he's still blinded by the webbings, the creatures have now turned their attention towards someone else in the hallway. As Kurt tries to get the webbings off his visor, a scuffle is heard in the background as someone is now engaging against the creatures. Once Kurt gets the cobwebs off him, the body and head of the four-armed creature collapses in front of him followed by the carcass of the spider-monster gets tossed over at the same time. As Kurt then unmorphs, he's shocked as to how quickly the monsters were defeated. As he goes through the wall he crashed through and looks over at the other end of the hall, where it's none other than...THE GIRL! Who's just standing there and in shock after what just happened. Kurt then goes over to girl to check on her and asks how she managed to kill the creatures. Confused, she tells him that she has no idea how she did it. Kurt then says it's okay and that it's over now. He comforts her by giving her a hug. He then tells her that they need to go now before anyone else discovers what just transpired.
And so, he then carries her and the two makes it to the Impala and drives off away from the scene.
Elsewhere, Cole and his team are trying to find any leads that can pinpoint them to Kurt and the girl. One of the men then overhears in a radio audio about reports of the monster attack at the hospital. Cole then tells one of his men to access the hospital's survelliance feed. And as they scan from one camera to another, they comes across a footage of the Impala driving off in the distance. Cole then reports over his radio to his superior that he's found Kurt and the girl.
