Chpt13 Ep8: "The Last Gate to Paradise" is an episode in the series Power Rangers: Omniverse.

Plot

The episode opens up to Hunter walking up to his mother's grave in Kansas. Kurt joins him and says that how can they be sure that what Lucifer said about killing Mary and Castiel in the other world is anything but true. Hunter says that all he's thinking about now is hunting him and Damien down and killing them. And tells Kurt the same for them having to lose Castiel as well. Hunter then walks back to towards the Impala with nothing but an angered look on his face.

Meanwhile in Heaven, two figures are walking down the halls containing the many doors of Heaven's occupants of human souls. Several of them approaches several doors and takes out a canister and attaches them to the door where a stream of energy flows within the canisters. Later, they take in the canisters within a chamber. A beam of white light emits where then 6 people appear, undressed and confused, as they wonder what just happened to them. One of the 2 figures approaches them and mentions that they were once humans, but are now angels. They are then ordered to travel to Earth to find and retrieve Damien at any cost. It then reveals that the myserious figure who's just created a set of new angels turns out to be...NAOMI!

Elsewhere in a cabin, Damien is trying to use his powers...on Kaia's corpse. Which it turns out that she had died from her wound. Damien fails to resurrect her as it turns out the angel-dampening bolts did affect some of Damien's powers. He then joins with Lucifer in the next room who's currently enjoying torturing a live-person while strung up on the wall, as he's trying to use his powers at full strength but fails to do so. Damien is confused as to how they're such powerful beings, yet only to be weakened by the likes of Hunter and Kurt. Lucifer tells his son that that is why Hunter and Kurt are a threat to them. Damien asks Lucifer about Kaia and what happens to Kaia after she dies, to which Lucifer mentions that human souls either end up in Heaven or Hell. Lucifer then begins to have a thought. He mentions that he knows just how they can restore their powers back in full strength. He then leads Damien to using his abilities in further torturing the live-person as Lucifer looks on in joy as to what he's making his son do.

At the same time, the angels that Naomi created have now arrived outside the cabin where Damien and Lucifer's are hiding. One of them mentioning that Damien's power has weakened, being able to track down the duo's location much easier. Several of them then takes out a special pair of chains as the leading angel gives out commands on coordinating their assault. 

In the room, as Damien and Lucifer continues their enjoyment in torturing, the angels comes bursting in through the door and ambushes them. They use their chains to bind them, now immobilizing them as it shows effect where they become weakened and falls over to the floor. They then proceed in taking Damien and rushes out of the scene as they leave behind a now angered Lucifer.

In Heaven, Naomi expresses how pleased she is as she's speaking with the leader of the angel group, Duma, in managing to capture Damien. Naomi then enters the room where they have Damien being held in, who's still binded in chains to surpress his powers. Damien demands to be released and to be with his father. Naomi tells Damien what kind of individual Lucifer is and mentions that where Damien is now is his true "home". Naomi then unbinds Damiens' chains. Damien asks Naomi what she wants with him. She says that she's been looking for him for a long time now since his birth. Naomi tells him that she intends to bring Heaven back to it's once grand feat. By doing so, is replacing and recreating the number of all the angels that has died throughout the past years. She further mentions that she's only been able to create small portions of angels out of human souls that has descended to Heaven. Though deeming it to be wrong, but also mentions that it's the only way to keep Heaven running. Naomi then tells Damien that he is the key to Heaven's survival by creating more angels with the power he has in him. As she then turns her attention back to him, Damien then sneaks up behind her then pins her against the wall and starts choking her. Damien tells her that she's fallen for his trap.

In a flashback when he and Lucifer were in the cabin, Lucifer was able to sense the angels nearby and tells his son about a plan to restore their powers and even retrieve Kaia's soul. To which Damien will let the angels capture him to gain access in Heaven. Lucifer further reveals that their powers will restore as soon as one of them steps foot in Heaven, as he mentions that an angel's power would restore back to their normal potential while being in Heaven. 

As Damien still has Naomi pinned up, he then demands to know where Kaia's soul is in Heaven. Naomi then tells him what doorway it is where he then lets her go. Damien then utters the word "unbind", where in the cabin, Damien is able to burn off the chains that was still keeping Lucifer held and then telepathically tells Damien a job well done and mentions to "open a gate to paradise". To which Damien is then able to summon a dimensional rift opening in the cabin. Lucifer enters it and then joins with his son. Lucifer then feels his powers is now restored. He's then impressed by what Damien was able to do and then turns his attention towards Naomi. He punches her for trying to turn Damien against him. As Lucifer is about snap his fingers to kill her, Damien tells Lucifer that they're only in Heaven for one other reason. Lucifer then decides to spare Naomi and the two leaves towards the hallway. As they do so, Naomi notices that the rift back to Earth is still open and strugglingly gets up and goes over to it, being able to land back in the cabin.

Sometime later, Hunter and Kurt arrive back in the bunker as they try to figure out how to deal with Damien and Lucifer. Hunter mentions it's not like their answer is gonna come knocking on their door. At the same time, someone begins knocking on the entrance door of the base. They cautiously go to check on who it is. To which they open it and sees NAOMI there. She greets them "Hello boys" and then leans to the side, exausted by what she just went through, and the duo catches her and takes her inside.

Moments later, she gains consciousness and then finds herself in a ring of holy fire, as the boys have now contained her. They then question her how she's still alive after what Metatron did to her before. She mentioned that she healed from her wounds slowly for several years after being pierced by her own instrument. She then demands to be released as she mentions that she has no time for them while there's bigger things at hand. The duo asks what it is. With no other choice but to tell them, Naomi says that Damien and Lucifer are in Heaven as they speak and could be tearing apart their own home and the sanctuary to the countless souls that which Heaven contains. She further tells them what she told Damien and what he told her. Realizing now that Damien must be stopped at any cost. And that reasoning with him is no longer an option with him now siding with his father, Lucifer. The duo then talks amoung themselves and tries to come up with a plan. Saying that this is their only shot against the father & son duo. Though Kurt mentions they have no weapon that can even hurt the two. Naomi then suddenly slides out an angel blade, though this time colored in gold with a twisted blade design. Naomi then presents it to them. She tells them that it is the sidearm blade from the archangel, Raphael. She tells them that she was his second-in-command during the civil war in Heaven several years ago. That after his death by the hands of Castiel, she took command of Heaven and acquired his last known weapon. She says it could wound an archangel, thus possibly Damien as well. With no other choice but to accept Naomi's help, the duo then extinguishes the flames and releases Naomi. She then tells them the location of the cabin containing the rift towards Heaven.

Meanwhile in Heaven's corridors, Lucifer is joyfully slaughtering his younger angel siblings as they try to flee in terror as he and Damien try to locate Kaia's soul. Damien asks his father for direction but sees Lucifer endlessly having the most fun at tearing apart Heaven's hosts.

On Earth, the Impala drives up to the cabin where Hunter and Kurt exits and then morphs in their Ranger forms. Naomi then hands Hunter the archangel blade and they proceed inside and towards the rift. They all land in the room where Damien was being held in and then heads for the corridors. They then witness all the corpses of deceased angels, from their throats slit open to some being charred to ashes by the hands of Lucifer. As they slowly proceed down the halls, Naomi then has a distraught look on her face from all the carnage and tells the duo that all she wanted was to bring their paradise back to it's prime after all the damage that was done to Heaven during and after the Apocalyse. Hunter mentions that if it weren't for him and Kurt, there wouldn't be a paradise left at all if both Michael and Lucifer were to have succeeded their goals all those years ago. 

Then as they turn a corner, they spot Damien and Lucifer roaming the halls they continue their search for Kaia's soul. They then see Lucifer terrorizing one door where it reveals remnants of angels, including Duma and her group who had ambushed the two before. As Lucifer tears down a portion of the door with his angel blade, he peaks his head through and yells "Here's Luci!", freightening the angels. Hunter and Kurt then calls out to them to get their attention. Lucifer then notices them and becomes unexpected by their presence. He then tells Damien to go on without him as he holds off the duo. Kurt tries to call out to Damien that he doesn't have to follow what Lucifer is saying. He ignores Kurt and runs off anyways. Naomi then takes out her own angel blade, where the duo tells her that her standard blade won't do anything against him. Though she says she can at least try on helping them out for the harm she's caused to them before. And so, the trio engages in a fight against Lucifer in Heaven's corridors. As this happen, Damien goes to another corridor and then finally spots Kaia's doorway. He then picks up the canister instrument and uses it to acquire Kaia's soul. Meanwhile, Lucifer has nothing but the upperhand against Hunter, Kurt and Naomi. He throws her aside and as Hunter tries to lay a hit with the archangel blade, he gets slammed down by Lucifer. Hunter then losing his grip on it to which it slides away near Kurt. He then picks it up to face against the devil. They then exchange hits and misses to the point where he disarms Kurt from the blade and then gets a hold on him. Lucifer mentions that he's grown bored of Kurt and says that after all this time he never needed him, but instead needed a spawn to do his bidding. As he's about to lay the kill on Kurt, Naomi then picks up the archangel blade and as she's about to strike Lucifer, with quick instict, he releases Kurt from his hold so he could counter Naomi's attack and turns the blade towards herself. Piercing her on the abdomen. Naomi grows a painful look. Lucifer mentions that an archangel blade won't kill her instantly, but instead, she'll have a slowly painful death. Naomi then collapses to the floor. As Lucifer notices the blade to be of his brother's, he then taunts the duo that this was the only weapon around that could ever hurt him and Damien. He then proceeds to incinerate it to the point it melts on his hand and to the floor. Damien then enters the scene as this happens and tells Lucifer that he's retrieved Kaia's soul. And so, Lucifer leaves Hunter and Kurt behind to join with his son as they proceed back to the rift and lands back in the cabin with the rift closing behind them. Lucifer mentions that it's time for them to head back to where they truly belong...in Hell. Damien then nods to this and stares back at Kaia's corpse, with her soul now in his hands. 

In Heaven, the angels tries to treat Naomi's stab wound but shows to be severly draining the life out of her as she's slowly dying. She then requests to speak with Hunter and Kurt. The duo then goes up to her and tells her that they'll do everything they can to find a way to defeat Damien and Lucifer. Though Naomi mentions that there already is another way. In her dying breath, she utters to them to "find the holy lance". And she then dies off from her wound. Hunter and Kurt are then puzzeled by what this means and asks Duma what Naomi meant by it. Though she doesn't know. And mentions that with Naomi gone, Duma is now Heaven's new leader. The duo then tells her to open a rift back to Earth as the one earlier was closed by Damien. Duma says she'll do so but it will be the last that's ever connecting between Heaven and Earth. As the two are confused by what she means, Duma further mentions that the remaining angels are what keeps Heaven stable. And further losing more of them could become Heaven's downfall along with the infinite souls it safeguards. And that until she's figured out the ability that Naomi was able to do to create other angels, all of Heaven is cutting their ties towards the Earth. Hunter and Kurt seems to agree to this. Hunter then mentions to stop sending anymore of the "godsquad" on them. Duma also agrees to his terms. 

She then opens a portal for the duo where they then land back on Earth. Kurt says that he can't believe angels are out of the board now. To Hunter's relief, he's just glad that they'll never see anymore "dicks" going after them. Though Kurt says there's still two more out there, being Damien and Lucifer. They then get back to trying to figure out what Naomi mentioned about the "holy lance". For moment, Hunter then begins to realize what this means and that there's only one artifact that is given such a name for it. Hunter then takes out his dad's old journal and mentions that it was one of the weapons that his father was searching for to kill the yellow-eyed demon, Azazel, but could never find it because it's one of the most rarest and sought out artifacts known to man. Once he reveals a page with a drawn out picture of the artifact along with it's actual name....THE SPEAR OF DESTINY. Kurt then begins to remember from the moment they first discovered the Men of Letters Bunker and unveiled a wooden case containing a speartip with that very same name. Kurt tells Hunter about this and says they should head back to the bunker because he knows exactly where the spear is.
