Chpt13 Ep10: "Reichenbach" is an episode in the series Power Rangers: Omniverse.

Plot

On a dark street in Sacramento California, a wealthy-looking woman enters an antique shop. The woman has come for a 1931 solid gold pocket watch bearing the Nazi emblem. The shop owner says the price has increased. Mrs. Lloyd insists they had a deal. They argue briefly, and as the dealer puts the watch away and prepares to close his shop. She notices that the dealer’s hands and wrists start to smoke. He suddenly bursts into flames and drops the watch onto the floor. The woman picks up the watch and prepares to run away with it, but she too then bursts into flames after making contact with the watch. In the background, a figure in the shadows is watching as both of them burn to death.

Meanwhile, in the Bunker’s kitchen, Hunter is up early and on his laptop as Kurt enters and offers to make breakfast. Hunter refuses as he's very busy with his eyes set on his computer screen. Kurt asks what’s wrong. Hunter mentions that he was supposed to meet with an antiques collector in the early hours who has a posibility of knowing where the pieces of the Spear of Destiny are hidden but hasn't responded back to any of his calls or emails. He figures that something must've happened and is waiting for any articles to show up on the web regarding any mishaps about the collector. Eventually, Hunter gets an update about a recent report online about a discovery of two victims being burnt alive in an antique shop in Sacramento. Hunter urges to head out at once to investigate, Kurt then agrees.

Later, the duo arrives at the antiques store. No police are around, so they enter the crime scene. Inside on the floor, they find two scorched areas that appear to be where the store owner and the woman died. They don’t detect any EMF or sulfur, so Hunter starts looking through the dealer’s computer and emails for information on the transaction that was going on the night before, while Kurt is looking around the store for hex bags. They also discuss the possibility that maybe the dealer came across a cursed object that killed both of the victims. While Kurt explores throughout the shop, he scuff markings on the floor. Kurt pulls a bookcase away from the wall, revealing a hidden door. Inside, there are Nazi flags and photographs, mannequins dressed in Nazi uniforms, and other memorabilia from the era. Hunter too then discovers from the emails that the dealer had an underground business that involved selling Nazi memorabilia to wealthy enthusiasts. The dealer had apparently found a Nazi-era pocket watch that he was going to sell to the woman before meeting with Hunter. Hunter discovers that the watch belonged to a member of Hitler’s inner circle. The duo realize that the police didn’t report finding a watch, so they suspect the watch is gone. They also link spontaneous combustion and Nazi memorabilia to none other than the Thule Society and starts thinking the Thule may be involved in the deaths.

Elsewhere, a young man and woman enter an apartment while kissing. The young woman, Ellie, engages in a stream of nervous chatter before excusing herself. From the bathroom, she hears her front door bust open. She peeks out and sees two men advance towards her date. The intruders then sets him on fire and notices Ellie witnessing the whole thing. They turn their attention to her and tries to chase her, but she manages to escape and climbs down the fire escape, cutting her foot. The older man stops the younger, his son, from shooting her. The father wipes up her blood, saying they have what they need to track her.

In a diner, the duo talks with Aaron Bass on the phone to get more info on the Thules. In Berlin, Germany, Aaron’s been using his grandfather’s ledger to track and kill the Thule with his Golem. Aaron says the Thule have a mission called "Reichenbach", something that has to do with "the return of an arch-enemy towards the 'allied people'" of sorts. Unfortunately, he has no information on the Nazi watch or leads about the Spear of Destiny. Hunter then gets notified about the recent death at Ellie’s apartment, so they go to the scene. As Ellie waits in the police cruiser, the intruder's son from earlier, Christoph Nauhaus, opens her door and handcuffs her. He takes off with Ellie as Kurt and Hunter exit the crime scene. They manage to see Ellie being taken and rushes back to the Impala to chase after her. Christoph then drives to an abandoned parking garage to switch vehicles, but as he can’t find the keys to the other car. He calls his father about it, and the two then argue about Christoph going on his own. Distracted, he doesn’t notice Hunter has a gun on him whil Kurt rescues Ellie. Christoph hangs up the phone calmly with his hands raised.

In an abandoned office in the garage, the duo ties Christoph to a chair and attempt to explain the situation to Ellie. Christoph refuses to answer questions and taunts Hunter to kill him. Hunter motions for Kurt to cover Ellie as he prepares to shoot Christoph. Kurt shields Ellie as Hunter takes aim. Christoph immediately agrees to talk. According to Christoph, the pocket watch dates back to World War II. It belongs to his father, Commandant Nauhaus, a Thule and Nazi High Command. In a flashblack, towards the end of the war, when Hitler was preparing to commit suicide, Nauhaus stops him and tells him "there's another way". It turns out, Nauhaus used the Spear of Destiny to preserve Hitler’s soul inside the watch. Just before their hideout was being raided with the bombings, Nauhaus and some of his men managed to escape but ended up losing both the watch and the Spear of Destiny in the process. The two artifacts then ending up missing since the end of the war. Now with the rediscovery of the watch, it turns out as well that the Thule has kept a piece of the spear after it was destroyed from the bombing and plans to use a portion of it's power to resurrect Hitler out of the watch. Christoph then explains the soul of Hitler can only possess a direct descendant. To which he nods to Ellie as one those descendant. Though Ellie insists her mother traced their genealogy to the Mayflower, but Christoph tells her she’s adopted after all. He explains they’ve been watching her. To prove it, he recites details about her life. As the details get more specific, she is shocked by this and leaves the room for the moment. Then black limousine is seen entering the parking garage. Commander Nauhaus is starting to realize that Ellie is close by by tracking her with the trace of her blood.

While Ellie is alone in an adjacent room. Kurt comes in and tries to talk to her and calm her down. He tries to explain that he understands how she feels, explaining that he too was chosen to become the vessel for the devil himself, Lucifer. Though she doesn’t believe him, and is reluctant to accept most of what she is hearing about the Thule and her situation.

As they are discussing it, four Thule members have made their way inside to free Christophe. Hunter comes in the room Kurt and Ellie are in to warn them and tells Ellie to hide. As the duo prepares against the door and morphs in their Ranger suits, they burst in into the outer room of the area to fight off the Thule grunts. As the duo are distracted fighting off the Thule members, Christoph manages to find Ellie hiding and takes her once more. After the duo manages to fight off the Thule grunts, they realize to head back to where Ellie was hiding but only to find her now missing.

Later, the duo tries to contact Ellie, thinking to have fled from the area because of all the things Christoph said to her earlier. To which Nauhaus hears it from her voicemail while she is being held captive in the limousine with Nauhaus and Christoph. The Commander is furious that Christophe told the Rangers about their plan to resurrect Hitler. As the two of them argue, Nauhaus explains that with the world in such a state of turmoil, that this is the perfect time for Hitler to make his "second coming".

Some time later that night, the limousine arrives at an airport hangar. The Thule remove the struggling Ellie from the car, put her on a gurney, and inject her with a sedative. They take her inside the hangar to begin preparing for the ritual. When Christophe and his father get out of the car, the Commander orders one of his henchmen to kill Christophe. Christophe pleads with the thug and struggles as the man leads him into the woods to shoot him. When they are alone, Christophe puts up a fight and manages to get the gun away from the assassin and shoot him with it. Christophe runs away from the area.

Elsewhere, Hunter and Kurt are in a diner using their laptops to somehow track or search for Ellie. They have been hacking traffic light cameras trying to locate the car that took her. They are having no luck, when suddenly, Christophe arrives and sits in the booth with them. The duo are shocked, and when he tells them what happened to him how his own father tried to kill him. Though they don’t believe him. They accuse him of trying to lead them into a trap. He asks for their protection, in exchange for them to rescue Ellie. With no other choice, they agree and leave with him.

Inside the airplane hangar, The Thule wheel Ellie towards an altar setup and a medical equipment. And right next to her, is the Commander with a tube that's attached to his arm with the equipment along with a tube on Ellie's side. Nauhaus reveals that they never intended to use Ellie as a vessel for Hitler. They only needed her blood to transfuse it into the body of Commander Nauhaus as he will serve as the rightful vessel of Hitler. They then begin the process of draining her blood and transfusing it into the Commander. Ellie is starting to become weakened from blood loss. The Thule then takes out what looks to be a wooden fragment with a sharp end. It's a piece of the Spear of Destiny. And another brings out the pocket watch and place it together with the piece of the spear. As the ritual begins, the Thule recites some incantation to activate the spear fragment with the watch. Then afterwards, a Thule member jams the sharp end of the piece into the chest of the Commander. An essence coming from the watch flows from the spear fragment and into Nauhaus' body. They then remove the piece from the commander's chest and is able to immediatly regenerate from the wound.

Nauhaus awakens seconds later; apparently, now as “Hitler”. He celebrates with a maniacal laughter and exuberantly jumping around as he's been resurrected. He then remembers his men in the room and greets them joyously. Hitler then notices Ellie, calling her his great great grand-niece and thanks for her help. But he then tells his men to drain her blood and to "feed her to the dogs". Ellie then tries to panic but is too weak to do so.

Just outside, Hunter and Kurt arrive at the scene with Christophe. They handcuff the boy inside the car. Hunter heads over to his trunk arsenal and takes out a grenade launcher. Mentioning how he's "always wanted to blow up some Nazi's". But Kurt nixes the idea and says they need to influtrate in stealth. Hunter then gets a downed face for a moment.

Moments later, now in their Ranger forms, they proceed to the side entrance of the hangar and enters the building. They head down the corridor making their way in as quiet as they can. Then suddenly, their morphers gets short-circuited by some sort of magic being done by the Thules and immiediately powers them down. They are then confronted by some Thule members and holds them at gunpoint.

Hunter: Should've just brought the grenade launcher.

The duo gets captured and the Thule grunts takes them to Hitler. When the duo meets him, they realize they are too late to prevent his resurrection.

Thule grunt: (smacks Hunter behind his head) Address den Fuhrer with respect.

Kurt: Fuhrer?

The duo looks at "Commander Nauhaus" in shock.

Kurt: Hitler?

Hunter: It's Hitler.

Hitler: Kurt und Hunter Winchester. You must be important. He feared you. Nauhaus (points to his head) Still up here. (Laughs)

Hunter: Yeah, nice new meat suit. It come with two testicles this time?

Hitler: One of many upgrades I'm enjoying. Like this! (holds up a cell phone) It's like having a tiny Goebbels in my pocket! I sold 10 million copies of “Mein Kampf.” What do you think I can do with Twitter? (Chuckles)

While Hitler and his men are distracted by holding the duo captive, they don’t notice that Ellie has unstrapped herself from the gurney and goes to grabbed one of their guns on a nearby table. She manages to shoot one of the men in the head, killing him, to which creates enough of a distraction for Kurt and Hunter to morph back in their Ranger forms and fights off the Thule grunts. As the fight ensues, Hitler makes a cowardly run for the exit but Hunter manages to catch him running away and goes after him while Kurt picks off the remaining Thules in the way. Soon after, Kurt then notices the piece of the Spear of Destiny in the still-displayed altar and obtains it. Meanwhile, Hunter advances to Hitler with his Titanium Laser pointed at him.

Hitler: No, wait, wait. Please, d-don't kill me!

Hunter punches Hitler in the face and gets knocked out then goes over to him and aims his Titanium Laser towards his head.

Hunter: Heil this. (he shoots out a laser bolt, driving a huge hole on Hitler's head, killing him)

Kurt: (goes up to Hunter in shock) Dude...You killed Hitler.

Hunter: Yeah, I did. (grows a surprised look) Awesome.

Later, after burning all the Nazi corpses, Kurt, Hunter, and Ellie walk to the Impala, Hunter repeatedly boasts that he killed Hitler. They free Christoph, and Kurt reminds him that the Thule will hunt him down for the rest of his life and suggests him to stay in hidding as soon as possible. Christoph nods and walks away without having to say anything else. Arriving back in town, Kurt walks Ellie back to her place and tells her to call them if she's ever in any trouble. She agrees and thanks him and Hunter for saving her life.

As Kurt gets back in the Impala, Hunter mentions a bakery that claimed the best pie for a hundred miles and says that he deserves it after having to kill Hitler. They laugh about it for a moment.

Kurt: Oh, and don't forget me. Because (takes out an object wrapped in a cloth and unveils it to be the wooden piece of the Spear of Destiny), I just found a piece of the Holy Lance.

Hunter: No way. How'd you?---

Kurt: Ellie mentions that the Thules used this along with the watch to resurrect Hitler. Just so happens to be a piece of the spear.

Kurt hands it to Hunter and observes it.

Hunter: Now we just need to find the rest of the pieces.

Kurt: Right (grows a hesitant look).

Hunter: What is it? I know that look.

Kurt: Hunter, what if Damien---

Hunter: Don't even start to think that he'll ever come back to us after him knowing that we lied to him about Lucifer. Bet by now, he's twisting the kid further to the dark side. Next thing you hear in the news, we'll get all sorts of craziness happening around the world. So we better be prepared to take both of them down after completing the spear.

Kurt slowly nods and they drive away.

Meanwhile in Hell, Asmodeus looks on in terror as he witnesses Lucifer training Damien with his powers...by torturing all the human souls that's kept in Hell's dungeon in the most horrific way. Lucifer maniacally laughs proudly as Damien too looks on in excitement and yet in a sinisterly way.
