Logo-supersentai This article is about a/an fanfictional series entry in the Super Sentai series.

Chikatetsu Sentai Shinkansenger (translated as Underground Taskforce Trainenger) is the fifth Super Sentai season in Gokai-Volt's Super Sentai franchise.

The series has a motif of the London Underground and trains and carries elements from Ressha Sentai ToQger.

This is the second Gokai-Volt Super Sentai Series not to be adapted into Power Rangers, after Togo Sentai Crossenger.

Plot[]

Underground workers from various stations in London are maintaining the tracks to ensure the train service runs smoothly and is on time. However, one day, mysterious creatures attack the underground - causing chaos and panic as they disrupt the train service.

Five workers are chosen to become a squadron to defeat the organisation and return the tracks to normal. Along the way - they meet workers from other lines and team up to destroy the ultimate enemy - Emperor Mettro.

Trivia[]

  • This is the first Super Sentai season to be set outside of Japan (set in England).
    • This is the first Gokai-Volt series to have a train theme and the first series to have 11 Rangers, split into two teams and three different transformation devices for each team.
    • This is also the first series to have a female black Ranger and the first Brown Ranger.
  • The Ranger colours are based off the colour code, for the London Underground lines.
    • The line names, in the roll call for ShinkansenPink and ShinkansenTurquoise, are shortened to "Waterloo" and "Hammersmith".
      • At the end of their roll call - the Rangers say "Mind the Gap", in reference to the famous announcement, on the actual London Tube.
        • The Train Models are modelled after the London Underground trains.
  • Despite having the same surname - Saya and Hideaki are not related, nor have any sort of relationship with each other.
