The Train Quantum Guardians, also known as the Train Quantum Guardian Rangers, are a team of siblings that protect the Earth from the House of Zedd while, at the same time, are trying to save their hometown & find their long-lost parents.

Before the Merville siblings' birth, their father Jerome Merville was a member of the Rainbow Line who left to be with his soon-to-be wife, Elaine, who shared an equal amount of Imagination.

As children, the Merville siblings lived with their parents in the town of Pleiades Beach, where they often played at their sacred tree. One night during a beach festival, Emperor Zedd's darkness, as well as the House of Zedd's, invaded Pleiades Beach. Separated from their parents, the Merville siblings were spirited by the Rainbow Line. In the years that followed, the five amnesiac children would travel across the Rainbow Line, being under the protection & guidance of their uncle, the mysterious Conductor Herbert.

In the present day, four of the now teenage Mervilles were given the ability to become Train Quantum Guardians, rescuing cities that were invaded by the House of Zedd. At the same time, Russell, the only sibling who was consumed by the darkness as a child, mysteriously ended up in Bagger's Shadow Liner where he slept all while other children hostages were crying for their darkness. While the Train Quantum Guardians were rescuing the passengers, they reunited with their brother Russell, who was joined into the team as Train Quantum Guardian Ranger 1. He even (accidentally) unlocked one of their functions, the TransMorphs, which would come in handy during future battles.

After the introduction to the App Morpher, the item was given to Fagund, a former House of Zedd member who currently goes by the name of Aaron.

Pleiades Beach rescue operation & final battle[]

When the Train Quantum Guardians learned that Russell's body somehow emitted darkness, they tied him & later received help from Miss Wella to free their town. After the Castle Terminal was relocated out of Pleiades Beach with the town purified by Wella's assistance, Russell revealed himself as he had escaped & assisted the Train Quantum Guardians in battle but once fighting against Zedd, his darkness powerfully manifested into Train Quantum Guardian Ranger 1: Shadow Mode. Knowing that he has no potential to return to his old life, Russell tricks his siblings & fellow Train Quantum Guardians into giving their Rainbow Passes to prevent their interference in Russell & Aaron's raid into Castle Terminal, as well as to ensure their safety by erasing their memories & leaving them in their normal lives without Russell's existence.

Unknown to Russell, Aaron & Q-Pid had planned to make them remember with previous photos of them & Russell placed on their tree base as a safety precaution & backup plans. Russell & Aaron attempted an attack on Castle Terminal but once Train Quantum Guardian Ranger 1 is defeated, Zedd has Castle Terminal transform into a monster that blankets the entire city & Pleiades Beach in darkness before Emperor Zedd leaves a powerless Russell to waste away in the dark.

Thanks to the photos, the other Train Quantum Guardians reused it as their new Rainbow Passes & managed to rescue Russell from despair in the darkness. Along with the Train Quantum Guardians, they defeated the remaining House of Zedd armies, & seemingly defeated Zedd before Wella spirited him with a Shadow Liner. Aaron & the other Rainbow Line depart, while the five siblings continue their regular lives, having been reunited with their parents & younger brother Alban.

The Dark Power Rangers TQG Gear is the Dark Ranger Gear associated with the Train Quantum Guardians. It can summon the Train Quantum Guardian Megazord.

Notes[]

• They may be the first All-Sibling team in Power Rangers history. This makes them similar to Sentai teams such as the Fivemen, GoGo-V, & the Magirangers.  They're also similar to the Magirangers & the Ninningers, as the team consists of family members (including Extra Rangers). 
  • They also, therefore, share some similarities with those Sentai teams:
    • They were separated from their parents as children like the Fivemen. 
    • The Sixth Ranger (Ranger 6) is the only member who isn't biologically related to the team, much like MagiShine & StarNinger. Of course, the Sixth Ranger eventually becomes part of the family in one way or another (Hikaru married Urara, & Aaron was "adopted" into the Merville family). 
      • Beast-Demon Hunter Zeek & his successor Zeek-Jeanne had no relationship to the Tatsumi siblings in GoGoV, but they were only ranger-like.
      • Aaron (Ranger 6) is similar to Trek (Supersonic Green), the Sixth Ranger of the Supersonic Rangers, the Power Rangers counterpart of the Fivemen. Of course, they are also pretty much polar opposites, as Trek betrayed the Supersonic Rangers & became Psycho Green, while Aaron (originally Fagund) left the House of Zedd & joined the Train Quantum Guardians.
    • Like the Fivemen & the Magirangers, the ranking of each sibling in the team isn't from oldest to youngest.
• Like the Go-Busters, they were trained to become the Train Quantum Guardians ever since they were children.   
• The name of each ranger is a translation of their color, or which contains the color in the name's meaning.
• They may be the first Power Rangers team to have a train motif.
• They may also be the first team since the Lightspeed Rangers where the Rangers' suits have White Gloves & boots as part of their main uniforms.
• This may be the second team to be able to change their color, after the Super Mega Rangers.
  • Unlike the Super Mega Rangers, however, the Train Quantum Guardians' color changes involve palette swapping of the Rangers' colors while keeping their number designations, while the Super Mega Rangers' color changes involve them changing into previous Rangers from the first 20 seasons.
• They may be the first team whose formation does not have the Rangers stand side-by-side, instead of having each Ranger stand behind one another.
