King Arthur Pendragon is the main protagonist of Power Rangers Royal Cosmic. He is a (biological) immortal being and genetically the son of Galaxious, due to Galaxious altering his genetics upon request of his parents while he was still an unborn fetus. In order to protect the people from Stagspire's king and the Bugnaroks, he transforms into the Red Beetle Ranger, the Red Ranger of the Royal Rangers, later ascending to the throne as the new king of Stagspire after defeating Mordred in trial by combat.

Background[]
Arthur was born the biological son of Galaxious with human DNA in order to produce a "perfect heir" for the Galactinsects able of ruling conquered civilizations. Galaxious abandoned Arthur in an orphanage on the planet Terra, believing that humanity would disappoint him enough to give him a desire for revenge and then shape his character before claiming him as champion.
Being under his loyal service, the royal family of Stagspire was subjected to secrecy for years in the face of this revelation, not counting Mordred, who used this discovery to instead protect the young Arthur, however, he could do nothing at the time in the face of this and waited for the right moment, when Arthur would begin to rise, to execute his plan. Growing up in the orphanage, Arthur would eventually become friends with two siblings peasants Tahlia and Beric as well.
Becoming a Ranger[]
Although he lived in poverty at an orphanage, he was an innocent young man who admired the king, Mordred. However, when the Bugnaroks invaded, he became enraged at the king's arrogant and cruel nature. Arthur rebelled against the king himself and became the savior who protects the people. This allowed him to awaken the Beetle Zord to confront the Bugnaroks as the Red Beetle Ranger, though at the cost of Mordred branding him a traitor. Royal Day
With Arthur now on the run from the Stagspire, he encounters leaders of four nations: King Edward, Queen Guinevere, King Tristan, and Queen Morgana while exploring their respective kingdom and learn each of their traits and fighting Bugnaroks along the way. Personality[]
Raised in an orphanage in the castle town, Arthur has a pure and kind-hearted personality and is well-liked by all children. When he learned of King Mordred's goal to "Prioritize the unification of Terra even at the expense of the people" in the name of "justice", he turned against him with courage to destroy this so-called "justice".
As an orphan and never able to see how a king or queen is supposed to do their work, Arthur was quick to make wrong judgements on the other kings and queens, viewing them as nothing but the same as Mordred. However, he will accept the king's and queen's worth once he knows on how happy their citizens are to follow their path and leadership. His adventure with Edward or Guinevere is one such example.
Six months later, he seems to have matured quite a lot, becoming an even more admirable king than when he was a mere "fugitive", helped by the events of the 10th episode. Despite being royalty, Arthur doesn't seem to enjoy the excess attention it brings, as when the people rejoiced over his return by tossing him in the air, he immediately demanded that they stop it because he didn't like it.

- Arthur Pendragon's given name comes from the Briton king of Arthurian legend.

- Prior to "Golden Heritage", Arthur was the only Royal Ranger not to be an official monarch.
- Despite the fact that he is now King of Stagspire, he has no royal blood, having been able to ascend to the throne not because of this but because of his values āāand qualities which proved to be better than Mordred for this position.
- As such, he is the only monarch on the team not related to his kingdom's royal family.
