Artemis was the secondary antagonist of Power Rangers Crystal Fury. He was initially one of the generals of the Othrys Empire, serving the Empire's true ruler, Lord Cronus. However, after absorbing enough powers from Cronus, he took over his throne and evolved into Emperor Artemis, proclaming and becoming the new ruler of the empire temporarily before his death.

Artemis is the younger brother of King Soarin, the brother-in-law of Queen Diamonda, the biological uncle of Princess Esmeralda, and the adoptive uncle of Christian. It was revealed that had always been an aggressive and bad-hearted prince who drew with his older brother only because for him it was a competition. Having felt this intense rage, Lord Cronus offered him to join his Empire and promised him much more than Crystalia could give him, making him even more evil, ruthless, and a power-hungry Crystalian who desires more than anything to become the new King of Crystalia. Decided, he joined the Othrys Empire as he puts on his new helmet and armor and decides to try to usurp his brother's role.
Despite being the second-born, his Crystalian powers were stronger than Soarin's, which led him to believe he was the worthier candidate for the throne. Ally or Foe?
Artemis betrays the Kingdom of Crystalia.
Later, When Soarin became king, Artemis' resulting jealousy and resentment towards his brother drove him to ultimately betray Crystalia. Alongside Aracne, Artemis led the invasion of the planet during the Crystalia War, during which he killed Soarin and had his lifeless body carried away by Gnomes, all this under the eyes of his niece.

Following their success in conquering Crystalia, Lord Cronus ordered Artemis and Aracne to mount a new invasion of Earth. They sent down some Gnomes to invade Pine Ridge but they were easily wiped out by a new Power Ranger team, the Crystal Fury Rangers. Whilst Aracne was happy for a credible threat after assuming it would be a pushover, Artemis was just shocked that humans could utilize these powers. Crystals Awakening
Artemis later sets up a scheme to acquire the white Crystal Gem in Princess Esmeralda's possession, getting their attention with the Dino Crystalzord while claiming Cronus brainwashed him into betraying their homeland and that her father is still alive. As Aracne sends ??? to Earth, the Crystal Rangers fight the monster while Esmeralda, accompanied by Julian, meets with her uncle against their wishes. But Julian, having saw Crystalia's fall in his dream, exposes Artemis' deception since he lied of losing his emotions while under Cronus' control. This forces Artemis to summon the Dino Crystalzord before Julian rejoined the others in the Crystal Fury Megazord while still fighting with ???, whom Artemis obliterated for getting in the way of his Zord's attack. Artemis falls back to Othrys soon after. Ally or Foe?
Artemis oversees the Crystal Fury Rangers fighting the monsters Freezer and Flamator and forcibly withdraws them after Flamator accidentally hits Freezer with his flames. At first, it seemed Artemis favored Freezer more but it is only when Freezer failed against the Rangers that Artemis revealed he was removing the monster for being weak, with Freezer cursing him in his final breath before using the summoned ??? to cripple the Crystal Fury Megazord to deal a death blow in the Dino Crystalzord.

Compared to his brother's benevolent presence, Artemis is far more malevolent and selfish, though his knowledge of Crystalia has often helped further the Empire's plans against the Power Rangers. He is also shown to be quite manipulative, fierce, aggressive, cruel, and ruthless as he played on Esmeralda's feelings for her father and exploited Christian's ego, in addition to manipulating him into helping him.
Due to the negative feelings towards his brother, Artemis developed immense resentment and jealousy towards Soarin. As a result, he possesses a sense of arrogance, claiming to be superior to the Crystalian ruler in every way. As Julian is essentially Soarin in a human body as well as the Chosen One of the Morphin Grid, Artemis strongly despises him. After the King Express Megazord was first formed, Artemis' hatred for Julian only deepened. He also possesses a hatred of anyone he considers weak, claiming them to be his enemies. Because of this, he will violently and brutally kill anyone he deems weak, including the Masked Monsters. Due to his greed and desire for the throne of Crystalia, Artemis is very treacherous and power-hungry and was willing to betray his people.

- Imagination Manifestation: Like Julian Atkinson and King Soarin, Artemis possessed a strong imagination which allowed him to transform the Dark Crystal Gem into the Dino Crystalzord.
- Armor Manifestation: Artemis can manifest his armor from his body and place it on himself with his mind.
- Dark Fire Projection: Artemis could shoot out a stream of dark fire from his hand as seen in his first battle with Julian.
- Monster Reviving/Enlarging: Artemis revived and enlarged the Dark Monstone using his powers.
- Lightning Effect: Artemis can power up his dark energy with gold lightning that were strong enough to cause explosions for an additional damage.
- Shockwaves: Artemis could release violet shockwaves either through his kick or by stepping on his opponents.
- Corruption: Artemis could corrupt an opponent's heart, and with the help of a Monstone, turn them into unwilling puppets of evil. The victims' minds are still intact, but they have no control over their actions.
- Shadow Absorption: Artemis was shown to have the ability to absorb dark energy into himself for an increase in power.
- Teleportation: Artemis could teleport by vanishing in a burst of dark energy.
- Telepathy: Artemis was able to talk with Lord Cronus mentally.
- Mist Generation: Artemis had the ability to unleash a dark mist.
- Self-Growth: After usurp Lord Cronus, Artemis was able to appear giant at will.
- Transformation: After usurp Lord Cronus, Artemis was also able to transform into his Emperor form at will.

- Strength: In all of his battles, Artemis was strong enough to take out the Crystal Fury Rangers with overwhelming assaults and sword slashes.
- Master Hand-to-Hand Combatant: Artemis was a master hand-to-hand combatant, being able to overwhelm the Crystal Rangers with his bare hands.
- Communication: Artemis was able to communicate with any empire's generals.
- Skilled Manipulator: Artemis could manipulate people for his own means, which he did to Esmeralda, Christian, and later Lord Cronus.
- Extraordinary Leaper: Artemis could leap incredible distance.
- Enhanced Speed: Artemis possessed augmented speed which allowed him to sneak up behind on Julian.

- Crash End: Artemis wielded a hook-bladed sword that resembled a crescent moon on top in combat.
- Spark Wave Generation: Artemis could draw the tip of his hook sword along the ground in a straight line to generate a large wave of sparks.
- Energy Empowerment: Artemis could charge up the blade of his sword with violet and magenta energies to slash at full force.
- Dark Energy Slash: Artemis' strongest attack where he channeled an immense amount of dark energy into his sword, making it appear much larger than it really is and then unleash a massive energy slash that would cleave down the center of his enemy, immediately killing them. This killed Freezer and Timelooper.
- Crescent Cuts: Artemis could charge his sword up with purple energy and flick it forward to unleash purple and red energy cuts in the shape of a crescent blade. They could cut into his enemies with enough force and one was strong enough to take down Julian with one hit.
- Dino Crystalzord: Artemis' personal Crystalzord born from the Dark Crystal Gem which could transform into a steam locomotive-based Zord, as well as a dinosaur-like form. After his death, Julian took it back.

After absorbed enough of Lord Cronus' power, Artemis' armor was reconfigured into a lighter golden suit that is much more durable. Cronus' powers also enhances Artemis' abilities to the pinnacle of godhood.

- Absolute Power: Emperor Artemis was the second most powerful enemy to be fought by the Crystal Rangers, being stronger than both Christian and the Rangers' Phoenix Mode and only being exceeded in power by Lord Cronus himself.
- Graviton Press: Artemis can control his opponent's gravity by gesturing his hand at them and generating a visible field of warped air around them.
- Portal Creation: Artemis can open a dark portal to teleport himself from one place to another.

- Strength: In this form, Artemis is now far stronger than he was before, being able to deflect and dissipate the Crystal Megazord's Crystal Dynamic with one move of his Gold Chainsword and even block multiple hits fromthe Royal Phoenix Megazord. When fighting Christian, a single knee strike caused large explosions to erupt over his stomach.

- Gold Chainsword: In his Emperor form, Artemis wielded a new sword with a chainsaw-like blade for combat. It was strong enough to dissipate the Crystal Dynamic.
- Explosive Aura: Artemis can release gold and purple auras from his chainsaw sword that was strong enough to create a massive crevice in Pine Ridge and cause buildings to explode.
- Energy Wave: Artemis can fire yellow energy waves from his chainsaw sword. It was strong enough to knock the Train Crystalzord and the Shark Express Crystalzord out of the sky and rip apart the Crystal Megazord.
- Energy Slashes: Artemis can charge up his new sword with golden energy and release energy slashes of the same color from it that were strong enough to wound the Royal Phoenix Megazord.
- Tornado Screw Crush: Artemis' self-devised signature attack where he engaged the Gold Chainsword's chainsaw portion to generate a golden cyclone around him before executing a spinning slash attack. This was enough to separate and critically damage the Royal Phoenix Megazord.
- Beast Wolf Omega: Artemis could draw his Gold Chainsword around him to form a full moon and then throw a dark avatar of a wolf from it at his opponents. This was a counterpart to the Flaming Alphasm Bird attack performed by Julian.
